Rude, set up's and no replies

Have been looking for single guys to join us for fun at nights.

Have found, that if one doesn't "jump" to the crack of the whip 65% of single guys get very aggressive and rude (reported within 2 days 4 guys for abusive messages), 15% don't even bother replying [we contacted them always first by reading profile] and then for the small rest - one arranges a social meet up somewhere safe for both sides and ..sighs... out of 10 one guy turns up...

Thought it was difficult in finding couples and yes the rare single bi female is impossible.. But to find a real guy, who meets, who doesn't have an excuse 1 hour before the meet that he can't make it (bad back, stuck in traffic jam or whatever)...

Is it only us or is it getting worse on Fabswingers? Opinion please

I turn up for all mine too even if it means travelling and to a club when arranged to go with some one. I have however been let down twice by single women and at no point become abusive or demanding. It is the nature of the site that we will all be let down at some point.

Sorry you feel this way but it happens.

I've only had one no show on here in best part of 18 months and that was before my tosspot-o-meter and numpty detectors were fully evolved, I've never had an abusive message when I've said I can't meet for whatever reason and my male and couple friends have been understanding on the odd occasion where I've had to cancel at short notice due to ill health or finances, as I have been when I've been cancelled on - would maybe look at your selection criteria and see if you can sift the wheat from the chaff earlier. Best if luck!

Thanks Caz oh have the "rubbish" and numpty dector installed free from Windows Vista (ha ha) but still doesn't work...

We understand if some one gets ill or has issue family last second...but you wouldn't believe the amount of bad backs there are in Yorkshire especially on evenings on weekends and strange the bad backs are then searching for a meet 1 - 2 hours later...

Know that there are loads of serious people out there but think there is a big numpty attraction in Yorkshire grrrrrr

If I arrange a meet, I turn up...even when I have a feeling that there may not be that vital spark, I still turn up because I have been proven wrong. I was raised to be respectful of others and honour my engagements (I hope that expression exists). The only time I had to cancel at last minute was when I had a car accident (ended up being a right off) but I re-arranged shortly after.

There are timewasters on this site as on any social/swingers/dating sites but they are easy to spot and ignore.

The good guys are out there and easy to spot too

There's a big 'numpty' problem all over sadly!

It does come down to selection - and sticking to your preferences. I (and a female friend) had meet posts up today for a single guy to join an MFM - apparently something many would love to do! Unfortunately the only ones who messaged her were the "over a year on site/no veri's" and those that were so far out of the detailed preferences she listed that it was hilarious!

You'll always find the guys on the forums will say "I always turn up!!" - but from my viewpoint the only way to be confident in your cances of them showing is a good track history of veri's!

Chin up - it's often like buses on here! Nothing for ages then three (or more) show at once!

i think i am in bizarro.... normally it is single guys complaining about not getting replies from couples... now its couples complaining about not getting replies from single guys.......

maybe the real take away from this is the popular ones are busy and having fun, and in a way, you have to attract them as much as they have to attract you!

In 5 years on Fab, I have never had a single man fail to turn up when we had a meet arranged. However, I'm a single lass, so there is nothing intimidating about me..... maybe some of the single guys you're contacting like THE IDEA of playing with a couple, but then just bottle it at the last minute? xx

You desribe single females as impossible to meet, couples as difficult to meet and are ranting about singlemen.

Have you maybe considered that something about your approach needs modifying?

Err you are serious joking ... we ask nicely in message single guys (we make the first approach) and ask if they would be interest in a no pressure social meet to see if we would gel... Only 2 conditions we ask for are kissing reserved between ourselves and safe...

Some replies are like "You don't put conditions, I say what goes"..or another was "I meet you in car park for social meet 10mins in back of car"...

We could be the axe murder couple of North Yorkshire ... and it was not a rant it was a question to ask for opinion... but then again if you regard it as a rant cool...

I can only comment about my experiences, never not shown up never had a meet not turn up,, is it getting worse,, not in my bit of fab,,

I think the advice in the previous posts is right on the money,,

I did the same with couples. After too many last minute let downs and being messed around I thought it best to save everyone's time.

I'll prepare by putting my helmet on...but isnt this the way in this country now?

If you dont get your own way, you jump up and down and spit your dummy out, the only way a lot of people know how to react is to get abusive!

I spent a great deal of my life and career dealing with this and living with a certain set of values, some of you may know what I'm talking about if I say them...Courage, Discipline, Respect, Integrity, Loyalty and Selfless Commitment. This country would be a better place if more people did the same! lol

It really does make me laugh how people are so narrow minded and self rightious..

i want to fill and island up with pleasant likeminded people and live there....naked! lol x

it would have to be very serious for me to not be, and even then id give as mch notice as pos, but touch wood it hasn't happened as yet i always show up

Sorry to hear the OP has been messed about by single guys when trying to arrange a meet or abused by the ones they don't,although i must point out its not just single guys who let people down on here iv had couple arrange to meet me only to cancel last minute and it is very frustrating,just kind of got to expect it when dealing with the internet and of course people!!
