Costumes are fun; I have all the “traditional” ones (maid, nurse, secretary etc) but never thought of taking it further into a character.

Albeit a strap on equipped cat woman outfit would have its plus points

Not sure what people consider cosplay? My profile picture is what I consider cosplay and was for Torture Garden or similar events were effort is needed (it took about 6 hours)

Getting a naughty nurse or sexy maid from Ann summers isn't cosplay, just roleplay to add a bit of fun.
