with someone because of their music taste?

For instance someone comes to pick you up from the station and your on the way to the hotel and their playlist is dire.

What type of music would put you off or couldn't you care less?

Carlisle usually

I don't really see what their taste in music would affect in terms of chemistry.

I can tune out their dire tracks. I won't go to gigs with them. There's not much else it really interferes with surely.

I wouldn't get into a car with a stranger from here however music taste is subject

It wouldn't put me off at all, I know people who listen to heavy/screaming type metal and it doesn't bother me. They hate the music I listen to and I hate the music they listen to lol

You mean lady in red is not the best music to pick up people to?

But, no music taste has nothing to do with wether we carry on or not.

The only music I want to hear is the musical tones of mutual pleasure.

When I was travelling, I spent the day heavily flirting with a tour guide. We agreed to meet for drinks later and he arrived in a heavy metal vest top with a skull and insects and tongues and worms on it. I really don't care what he listens to in his own time, but I couldn’t get past the genuine horror at his top

Hmm.

This can be a problem for me, too.

I have very strong reactions to music, in terms of how it can alter my emotional state. (I don't pretend I'm a special flower in this regard, but I do know not everyone responds this way: I always have done, I don't know any differently, so I don't take credit for it lol)

There really are times I wish I COULD tune-out music I don't like but if I could, it might mean I'd lose the capacity to respond so strongly to the music I DO like. I wouldn't want that...

It's also a focus thing, because of this. Try as I might, my brain will sometimes 'lock-on' to that bit of music and do its best to drag me away from what's happening. Sometimes I get this with overheard conversations too, especially in groups of people, even though I'm not interested in whatever's being said! This can be very frustrating and create some awkward misunderstandings...

I'm pretty sure they confirm it has happened.

.

Although - I'm comment was aimed at a film called '10'.

Stockport

Lou Reed, Metal Machine Music. A double LP, an hour and a half, of the guitar propped up against the loudspeaker and the volume turned up to max. Howling feedback without tune or rhythm, it's not music it's sheer pain.

When we're going for impact play, it has to be Simple Minds Sons and Fascination which may put off a few people but when they are bound and gagged it is to late

wherever I may roam

I went back to someone's flat once and she put on like grime leaning RnB

Didn't quite kill the mood but...I did have to tune it out. After a while I was too distracted to care

I couldn't care less. It's such an individual thing and doesn't relate to their sexual persona as far as I can see from experience

Yeah I’ve been in a situation where someone has been playing distracting music before. Tbh it was so long ago that I can’t remember what it was, but it totally threw me off and made me not want to meet them again.
