Just wondering and want peoples feelings about this.

What do you think when you send a message to someone and they read it and then reply then delete the messages.

Do they have something to hide or what ?

Sometimes, i tidy up my inbox. If you think that is hiding something, then we have officially reached a new low on fab.

"What do you think when you send a message to someone and they read it and then reply then delete the messages."

If you don't keep on top of your in-box the older messages quickly disappear out of view and you have to delete newer messages in order to get the older ones back in view.

As one OP said; why bother checking. Also if a reply and delete gets you wondering what happens if they read and delete without replying.

Why wouldn't you delete it if you've read and replied? What possible value would there be in keeping it? What could they be hiding and from who? If you reply, it just shows up in the message thread anyway...

In general no, we delete and just keep the last one for reference if need be.

But sometimes the gentleman of a couple will send messages of a sexual nature that he presumably doesn't want his partner to see and will delete just those leaving the other more general ones.

If you have upgraded you can see previous messages anyway so no need to keep them! Don't take offence by it!

I delete mine no point keeping them once youve read them. And if you are messaging one person back and forth in the same message subject you can read the previous ones. I save mine if I want to show my mate a pic of a guy to get her opinion or just to show her message for opinion also.

I do this. It saves space and helps me keep track. I also do it with my sent box too.

Simplest answer is there will be some who have something to hide but most probably just delete the message. I tend to leave them, helps when someone msgs so I can remember who they are or if they pee'd me off before

I do a bulk delete every coupla days to tidy up, any I want to keep have already been saved.

But I have had the male half of a couple send me a few sexy messages that he deleted my replies to (all innocent, I promise) and kept the bland ones, I am guessing to hide from the Mrs.

No, they're just using the site the way that suits them..... like we all do.

It's called freedom of expression...I delete for several reasons; when the message is gibberish, bland, boring, and from someone I don't fancy and finally cos I like to keep a clean house,

"I always delete after replying... I only ever keep the last message if i'm actually having a conversation and its not a one off."

Same here, though we'll save some before deleting.

We often think that the worst thing about Fab is the 'Sent Messages' feature. It encourages some people to agonise over what's been done with their message. Personally, we never look at ours.

No - in the case of 'single' women, they get so many messages, I'm not surprised they have to have a good clear out or keep mail boxes clear
