CLUBS OR PARTIES ?

Post Covid many clubs now seem to be charging membership for couples, demanding to see ID from everyone no matter how old they are, selling alcohol, and even making admission only by booking online in advance.

My feeling is they the are killing themselves with all this.

Bring back the days when you could turn up unbooked, with your own bottle of wine, pay £20 at the door, and no questions were asked who you were.

Doubt I'll be going much more.

Private parties are the way to go now.

We have no reference to pre- covid but if it’s as you described, we wouldn’t be attending.

Our experiences have been positive with most of the measures you describe.

We have never seen a club that doesn’t ask for id and you have always had to be a member we have been attending clubs for 5 years

Being a member with proof of ID is much safer for everyone and I think if its run as a private members club it's a prerequisite to obtain a licence.

Can't say I've ever known a club not ask for ID, though I've only attended fetish event over the past 11 years, swing has been a year.

I don't think I'd fancy a club without the precautions taken currently though, having membership and showing ID isn't a bad thing and I'm not sure why it'd be a problem.

Private parties though, I've always found are erm, uninspiring to keep it polite

Membership has always been the case (hint: "private members clubs"), they need to see ID to know nobody underage attends. Selling alcohol- not every club is licensed, there are still at least a few where you can bring your own alcohol.

Booking online- only applies to single men so the ratio of men to ladies and couples can be kept. No need to book for spa-based clubs though.

Mmm, turn up to a responsible club who cares about the safety of its patrons, or a club when any horny hopeful full of expectations can roll up with their beers and act with impunity. I know what I would prefer.

I've never been to a club in 10 years that hasn't asked for id.
