My first experience in 2018 was terrible — I was given a tour by one of the male regulars (the club DJ, apparently) and they treated me like a miscreant male, even though I was in a couple with my partner who had been to the same club as a single lady many years before we got together. I can only assume the regular member mistook me for someone else, but I've not been to that club since. However, I've been to other clubs that have made me feel welcomed and respected, so I've not been put off by my bad first experience, thankfully

See if you can go as part of a social. Going on your own can be nerve wracking.

My first time was Club Play and a dirty Disney themed night. I had a great time, I like the fact that it was also quite social not just sex sex sex. There was also no expectation either, it was just a nice atmosphere. I'm looking forward to going again soon.

It was pretty nerve inducing heading along but we had an incredible night! It was so much fun even just chatting to lots of new people and getting to know the scene. We even managed a bit of play with a hot FWB couple.

I’m still on good terms with everyone I met that night and go there loads! Must have been 30 times since I joined. You could try Purple Mamba if you're in Notts; it's a small friendly club and a great place to start. In fact it was the first club we visited.

If you like dress down you could try Chameleons.

Generally just start by saying hello! Perhaps if someone catches your eye ask them about the club, small talk, and take it from there.

Wear what you feel comfortable in. It can be sexy, may be just a bit daring; whatever works for you.

I now go to Necked Occasions it's lovely, clean with a great atmosphere and no loud music so you can chat comfortably.

We were regulars in the chat room and arranged to stay in the Premier Inn next door and all meet in the bar before going to the club.
