So often we are deep in conversation with a guy then he comes out with some outrageous reply and it just puts us off immediately! Do they get a little excited? Are we wrong for leaving the conversation there? Love to know people's thoughts

Well..... We can definitely tell who's typing one handed from the tone of the message let's say

If you're put off, you're put off. It's not wrong.

I just think it shows that you're looking at different ways of progressing so it doesn't mean the guy's wrong either.

Yeah I've had conversations usually couples (we don't meet guys) where the guy will pop in during normal day to day conversation and drop his cock or something equally of sexual irrelevance not flowing with the conversation or joining in and that's it I'm put off.

I guess it's a question of someone not reading the room.

If someone suddenly starts steering the conversation a certain way, or throws a sexual comment in when the chat has been general, then it can throw the conversation completely and make you wonder if you've given the wrong signals.

Likewise if there's a sudden urgency to meet now, when things have been flowing nicely. Timing is important when you want to change the course of a chat.

Are you wrong for being put off? Nope. It's fine to get bad vibes at any point in a chat. From the first message to one dozens later. Only you will know if something triggers doubts.

Nope you're not bad for being put off, it's good when people out themselves, before you've arranged a meet.

Years ago, I was chatting to a man, we were arranging a social as I always do. He said something along the lines of : well since I have to jump through hoops and meet you for a drink first, I hope there will be more...

I said you know what, don't bother. If you're that resentful of meeting a single woman in a public place and then think it makes you entitled to more, I don't wanna meet you.

Then I blocked him.

I was glad he'd shown his true colours. Often people on here say people block them or stop chatting for no reason, they don't, there's always a reason.

It's very common and often very off putting.

I genuinely thought ladies had the better end of the deal on here having so much choice, but 99% of the messages my partner receives are absolutely pointless.

Nope you’re not wrong.

We’ve had exactly the same experience but with women and couples. Having a lovely chat, things all looking like it will lead to a social then something vulgar or unnecessary gets said and it’s an instant turn off for me.

We have the same happen quite frequently. We're very soft swingers.

We've both been put off by this a few times on here recently. If someone's inability to control themselves puts you off then no, you're not wrong for leaving the conversation there

The whole reason we like to chat on here first. being respectful goes a long way with us. Chatting with a guy the other day all was going well, he then said 'well I'll try and get my big balls emptied over the weekend, if not I'll message you next week and see where it goes' I think NOT

I've been on the wrong side of this more times than I'd like to remember. It's not normally because I've got too excited and said something vulgar it's normally because I've not answered exciting enough or I've made a really crap joke out of something I think. I'm seeing this post as abit of cpd so thanks for bringing the subject up OP

It's the reason why if I ever clicked I didn't enter into weeks worth of messages. I'd either say something stupid or I'd read something of theirs that would turn my horn straight off. It takes a lot to get it back. It's better if there's chemistry to keep things simple.

No, go with your intuition. If it feels weird or off in a conversation then best to nip it in the bud. I’ve had guys go from pleasant to absolutely awful in the space of a few messages or a phone call. It’s bizarre lol

I both agree and disagree with you OP.

I have certainly had conversations with people where they say something that makes me go WTF??

However I have also had conversations that just drag on and it is clear that the other side has no intention of meeting. If people are here just to chat then that’s fine but it’s not why I am here and sometimes it is good to force a conversation to a conclusion - one way or the other.

All depends on the context or how outrageous the comment is if it’s something stupid I’d probably carry the convo on but if they keep on saying things making think wtf then it would be a thanks but no , Basically I think it’s harsh on one comment unless it’s that outrageous or just dam right insulting

It's probably unnatural to get people to reveal much in a line or two, it will normally take a few for the guards to come down.

It’s a fine balance between responding to a fun, sometimes flirty conversation, and gauging just how far to lead it on further ….. I’ve made the odd mistake over the years and some ladies have been forgiving ….. and enjoyed letting me grovel to make up for it !

Let’s face it, reading people via chat here is really hard…..that’s why I usually don’t keep it going on for too long without conclusion either way.

I can be easily thrown by some conversational turns. Sometimes it just means I'm not sure how to reply and I'll leave it to Mr. Other times it completely puts me off and kills the conversation dead.

No OP you're not wrong at all. If something makes you uncomfortable, then it's best to stop at that point.

We once chatted to a couple that seemed really nice, so we arranged a social. They then got stroppy because we were still active on Fab

We cancelled the social and blocked them.

All depends on context, if it's a certain word or scenario- I think its abit over the top, if they don't know but if you say - actually I'm not into X or this word and they carry on then yes its justified.

For example; I've said actually I really don't like the "I will make love to you - white Knight vibe" and they have carried on, then we know it's not going to work.

I think it’s a case of getting “over eager”. I’ve done it myself on occasion when I’ve thought the conversation was taking a turn and in retrospect it clearly wasn’t! Could only apologise. It’s that fine line between being a bit boring and being crude, Fab is a sex site after all and with some of the pretty explicit pics it can be surprising what can offend. I’ll keep trying, I actually really enjoy a good chat so probably err on the side of being over verbose!

we’ve definitely found this aswell, we like to set boundaries and always find after a little while they try and overstep them or push them, kind of a red flag for us so we tend to just move on, no hard feelings to anyone though, it happens x

I recently had someone who messaged me. Blank profile with basic info. He asks if im looking to meet and i igorned it and deleted it. Messages me again saying where am i? Ignore and deleted. Another message asking me for more pics. Delete and block. Then messages me on another profile calling me a stuck up whore. I mean accurate but it still hurts. I owe you nothing
