What would you class as a dad bod as I don’t have much of a belly but do have love handles which is proving hard to get rid of lol. Also it seems hard to find someone who wants a dad bod so who finds it sexy ?

My nan’s spare room.

5’ 8” 12 stone medium build a belly a bit bigger than I wish and legs skinnier than I wish.

I’m a dad and that’s my body therefore vis a vis.

I don’t actually get people trying to find a generic system to fit into, it’s an attempt to belong to something that you hope others find attractive rather than being yourselves.

I’ve always found those with a rugby body on here don’t look very much like Owen Farrel and more like Bill Beaumont.

It’s like dad bod and bbw are polite ways of saying a bit overweight.

I’m not having a dig here but just enjoy being who you are. There’s somebody for everyone.

There you go then, what you think is a dad bod is another man’s Adonis.

We may not always be able to get lean and defined as we age, but there's nothing wrong with being a bit soft around the middle as long as you look strong with it.

'Dad' is meant to be the family's protector, if a man looks like he can do that, why wouldn't he be attractive?

I definitely think I'm a dad bod, belly bigger than I'd like along with love handles. I put the weight on after I retired as definitely not as active as I was when working. I did try briefly to lose the belly but gave up far too easily and just accepted me for who I am, a 62 year old bloke who's not in bad shape for his age.

I'd class myself as bigger than a dad bod. More of a BHM.

Mind you, I'm trying to get that down lost 5 stone in the last 6 months.

Still I know I'm not everyone's cup of tea.

Cheers pal.. yeah, at first it's a not just about physical changes it's also a mental battle. Getting out of old habits, like late night eating after a few pints.

But my head's in the game now...I'm trying for at least 9 stone loss by the end of the year..no slimming world, NHS, or operations... It's been just me and my mindset going at it...

I mean don't get me wrong I have asked for NHS help, however it's been over 12 months since I did that and I'm STILL waiting for a weight management referral.
