Has anyone ever done this?

Been chatting to a couple - we moved onto WhatsApp… they are keen to meet me but won’t send me face pics. They’ve seen me (as I’ve got them on my friends pics). They said to me “we don’t feel the need to, we are good, trust me”.

I’m not sure I do!

Never met anyone without a face pic before!

Same with messaging, if they wont exchange a face pic when we have sent ours we are out. How do theh expect you to be identify them should you mee or be sure of physical attraction.

I've met several times without face pics but only on the basis "if I can't see you, you can't see me". I'm happy to share face pics prior but again if someone asks for a pic I'm happy to provide if I've contacted them. When someone contacts me and asks for a face pic I always tell them I'm happy to reply to theirs as firstly they contacted me and secondly I don't believe u should for something yr not prepared to send yrself.

Sounds tit for tat but so many people claim the need for privacy or discretion as if it only applies to them.

In yr case I'd be wary and the fact they think it's ok would be a red flag for me and the double standards people apply. U have their word for it, I think is very naive, what are they hiding?

This is why I use Snapchat and KIK, can keep contact, make arrangements, verify etc all without needing a phone number at that initial stage. Once I meet people in person I am then likely to give Whatsapp for second meets etc. Doing it this way works well for me at least

I’m not going to meet them, it all feels too dodgy.

I've met a few people over the past 10 years with our a face pic or with them wearing either a mask or blind fold I found it added to the thrill

I've said on here before that I have met people without exchanging facepics and immediately had the tired old trope thrown at me that I was just happy to fuck anything which is hilarious given the number of people I've met and the tiny percentage of those which have gone beyond a social.

I've never met anyone with an expectation of anything more than a coffee but I have known numerous times before meeting that I would never see them again and the social was just a way of touching base after chatting for so long.

For those reasons I don't need to be physically attracted to them.

I only exchange facepics with people I've already agreed to meet so that we will recognise each other in the coffee shop but I have met some without even doing that.

The funny thing is that even after 8 years here and following those principles I've never once had a no show or had my time wasted so it's horses for courses.

It may well be different for people who meet more frequently or who aren't interested in chatting and getting to know people before meeting or those who see every social meet as leading to a potential play meet.

That's not me so facepics aren't important for that reason.

Go with your gut feeling.

If you, do meet up, then meet somewhere public.

If there is no chemistry, then say so and block the number on your phone (calls and whatapps)
