When I was single and doing the Tinder thing I was surprised at how many girls much fitter than me were matching with me. (And yes my pictures showed that middle aged spread).

When it came up on date I was often told they didn’t like super toned guys because that may be an indication that they care more about their body than anyone else.

Also dad bod types would probably try a bit harder

I used to be self concious of mine.

I did excercise but not to the extreme.

I chose to have more focus on my job and family rather than my appearance but I find as I get older that concious seems to disappear and realise it’s not all about what you got on the outside

There’s a profile near us who has a great body, you can tell he works really hard in the gym and is very proud of his body; unfortunately that appears to be his entire persona. Consequently we don't look twice at him.

I've lost track of the amount of detailed messages I've sent out that remain yellow for all time, with members who are on every day, the sheer volume of mail single females and couples must recieve means plenty get missed.

So the first message gets trimmed down, face picture added and a snippet from having read through a profile. Usually if it's not read when they are online at that initial time it never gets opened.

I'm happy when they are read and deleted, at least I know they aren't interested and can move on.

when I was in the army I was very fit and into weights ect but I haven't noticed any difference physical attraction different types of women maybe but not really any difference in numbers I find once you get talking to them its the personality that count's. That unfortunately is where places like this fall down for single straight guys
