Maybe they knew you op.

I've seen people I went to school with, they have face pics on their profile.

I blocked straight away.

People block for all sorts of reasons on here, don't take it to heart. You just maybe weren't want they were looking for at this time.

I’m relatively new to my area and don’t know anyone their age. Unless they recognised me from the gym.

I’m more just laughing at it than anything.

If they know me I’d like them to say hi lol

They did tell you, just not in words. We sent face pictures to a man once and he immediately deleted his profile

If there's no attraction there's no point continuing to message. Blocking means you don't show in searches and updates any more so they can find compatible people easier.

It's difficult to phrase not my type in a way that doesn't tend to result in offense or more questions and badgering to change minds. It's a lot less hassle for them this way.

Blocking is a great filter I block everyone

But could be your too local, not attracted, know you from somewhere, didn't like your profile.... Whatever the reason it's saved random conversation and possible follow up messages which would have lead nowhere.

Blocking just takes someone out of potential when you don’t fancy them. Although it’s a rude not to say thanks but no thanks. I never judge upon a single photo as attraction is multifaceted.

I know not every one is for everyone but there’s a few reasons

1 saying someone is your type can result in a boat load of abuse back

2 as hard as it is to read that the person. Isn’t attracted to you it’s just as horrible sending the message

Happens to us all the time. We see people blocking or no thank yous as saving time and energy with people who have no chance at meeting.

That said, we don’t send photos without receiving them first. We don’t ask for them, and as such only reciprocate those who ask with a photo of themselves. We prefer a quick video call or meet at a club/social. It’s so much better than photos.

I assume you sent it to a woman or couple.

When woman say no thank you, however polite and respectful you are, you usually get back one of two messages.

"Why? I'm thick, hard, heavy summer etc" and this doesn't stop they harrass and hound for days until your finally block them.

Or "you were to fat/ugly for me anyway".

Just easier to block and move on

yes had this happen to me so I refuse to send face pic 1st now as I didn't get 1 back just blocked me.

A polite no thank you would of been fine as where not all to everyone's taste.
