Hidden Profiles

Is it only us but I am uncomfortable about people who keep their profile hidden but apparently enjoy a perv over ours?

That is our point exactly. Have encountered this a couple of times recently & decide to block people who have a hidden profile.

Would be interested to hear from someone who is hidden whether they feel its fair?

It's not fair but the site has given us a tool to take a break, and I'm happy to use it. I'm afraid I won't lose much sleep if others feel its an issue if I _iew there profile as I can do so in stealth mode anyway, what's the difference?

Well seeing as Funky hasn't arrived yet:

If you upgrade to Platinum Membership you can set your filters to block people with hidden profiles from looking at you.

I know a guy who has hidden his profile because he is seeing someone who doesn;t know he swings whihc is fine..BUT he now spends more time on here contacting otehr people than he did before he was seeing her..and has had more meets! lol

I'd 'guesstimate' that a high percentage of site users use 'stealth perve' mode and may _iew dozens of profiles daily, some repeatedly - without you ever knowing. So why worry about those hidden ones. Beats me why a hidden profile wouldn't go the whole hog and go 'stealth' - but the golden rule is don't put anything up that you'd be worried about others seeing - and of course don't accept random invites from those seeking to perve your friends only pics!!

People hide their profiles for all sorts of reasons.

I currently meet with a few who've hidden theirs because they're content with the people they already meet and don't want to be found on the profile search.

Some people may be taking a break from meeting but still actively use the forums and may be interested to know a little more about those they're interacting with.

To me its no biggie and certainly doesn't imply anything nefarious or sinister. What does bug me though are people that check my veries and then wink/message them asking about me rather than contact me directly...

Not concerned. We all have the choice how much the site users can see in public gallery.

Only those that show interest see privates and vice versa if we give them a nudge first.

It is a good tool for people to use if having a break as an alternative to 'currently not meeting'

If we simply got our rocks off by letting people perv over our photos then we would simply post them on a regular porn site.

Unless I am mistaken however fab is supposed to be a site to MEET swingers & there are obvious concerns about the motives of a person who is on this site but insists on keeping their profile hidden.

Its not a big issue for us frankly. On a scale of niggles going from 1-10 its pretty low but none the less it still doesnt feel right with us.

I hide my profile if I am working and not logging on as much, I do however look at the profiles of some people who post on the forums or people who may have looked at mine.

It may be as simple as that. If someone kept looking , I would just block.

Stealth is a way round it tho..

We have hidden our s as we are busy for next two months,s and may not have time to play,,but I agree with you profiles should not be hidden all the time,as settings can be changed to control who contacts you,we. Mainly play at the club now,and meet new people there ,I come on here to go on forums or chat in rooms,when bored,,but roll on June need some fun

I guess some do if they are "taking a break" its easier to hide their profiles than delete account etc....but there are those who just like hiding

Same goes for those who say one in their profiles which makes you think its worth saying "hello" only to be ignored

Both of these scenarios are pretty common place and par for the course;so we just grin and bare it

However what does confuse me is people who message you expecting a reply with a _iew to meeting with a hidden profile, I cant see how they can expect a reply if you cant see any pics or any info about them

If we see someone we like ,has looked at our profile while we are on a break,we add them to our hotlist and may contact when playing again,so they can _iew our profile in full
