Why assume lovers of "BBC" as you call it are all married to white men, I only desire Black men and am married to one. Also this is about trying out fantasies, therefore everyone can go for whatever they like, regardless of their spouses skin colour surely?

There’s more than an element of truth to this this to. Maybe not as much of an issue being ‘seen’ but in a lot of instances introducing to parents/grandparents/kids/ex partners etc

This is it. Its sad but true. The fear of what others think affects everyone and unfortunately we have a lot of people who either comment on interracial relationships even jokingly or actually have hate in them. But even the jokes make people feel bad and that is so common as a blue collar white guy who other guys feel comfortable around I hear a lot of things I remove myself from.
