After chatting for a while then accepting friend requests how often would you expect to chat to the new friend and how long would you keep them on your friends list if they stop sending or replying to msgs

It's all personal preference in my opinion. I message some friends daily cos we like to chat. Others it can be days sometimes weeks before we chat again.

I think you can get a feel for if someone's intentionally not replying. I'd say go with your gut feelings on it. If they still wanna chat they'll get in touch eventually.

Beeston

No hard and fast rule on friending, usually after a few days messaging.

Once on my list I don't delete. People have real lives and are busy with other stuff, some friends I message or hear from almost daily, others I've not messaged in 2 years (mainly forum friends who get to see my demented ramblings every day anyway)...

In my opinion it's really not worth tying yourself up in knots about and I find the question a bit odd if I'm honest - a bit 'that's you off my Christmas card list' type of thing

Depends usually go through my friends list and get rid of the ones i don't hear peep from every few months but will keep old playmates etc and if they haven't been online for a while they may be on a break...

I've never felt the need to 'cull' the list. Mine only contains those I've met, chat regularly to, some forum regulars the wrong side of the country and a few I'm planning on arranging meets with when I can find the time.

I've been 'bumped' by a few - and haven't lost any sleep over it. I think the issue is that done use it for the wrong reason - building huge lists to feel popular like 'bookface' - or to see friends only pics. I'd much rather just send pics attached to messages tbh.

But everyone is free to use it how they wish - although I do giggle at the status updates some feel the need to post announcing an impending clear out or asking those wishing to stay to get in touch. If people want to message, they will - there's no point worrying about it and everyone does have a 'Normal' life too!

We are not worried by it or even crossing ppl off our Xmas card list lol just find it strange to get msgs from someone quite frequently then as soon as they are on your friends they seem to stop but remain on your friends list and its not just one occasion so are all these ppl pic collectors and time wasters

I generally find friends invites are simply a way to exchange multiple pics quickly once you've been chatting to someone for a bit, in all the requests I've had over the years, I could probably count on one hand the number of them I stayed in some sort of semi-regular contact with.

Great bum by the way.

To the o p do you think same way about friends you have in life away from swinging. A friend is for life barring major problems many friends i do not speak with for ages but dont mean i discard them.
