Has Fab lost its sexy vibe?

We have been on fabs for almost 12 years, and in the early days it was exciting and had a sexy vibe.

We read on another post that over the last couple of years, everyone and there dog seems to have joined up, no shoes have become the norm, and it feels like fab has lost its sexy vibe.

As soon as we read those last few words, it hit us how true that is.

You have some great clubs close by so if you haven't been its definitely worth checking out. In person is always better then online.

Does the lack of response mean people think it still has a sexy vibe? A lot of profiles who can't get meets will probably agree that it has lost it's sexy vibe. No doubting club's are definitely sexier though.

I agree have been on and off this site a lot over last few years but first joined about 10 years ago and back then it was an exciting and fun site and people would be nice to one another.its now more like a social media platform and a lot more horrible nasty people on here too

clubs are si much better than this site.seems once you reach a certain age on here (even though you may have years of experience and are lovely people),know ones interested.have had so much more fun at clubs with couples and ladies of similar ages to ourselves then on here.so yes if you don't want to be ignored or treated like you are ancient and past it then yes clubs are definitely the answer.

Fab is basically Facebook for pervs we still get what we want out of it but try not to buy into the whole “fab this” (basically a like on fb) thing. Still some great people on here but also a LOT of attention seekers and time wasters, you’ve just got to be careful who you engage with.

Both of the above quotes sum up fab atm.

Too many people seeking perfect people, perfect bodies, perfect /massive penises + other crazy requests.

The forums seem to be policed by a clique that respond / criticise every posting, esp the Irish forums. Most topics are non swinger related, as said above its Facebook for wanna be swingers.

Covid has made people learn more about themselves and what they want so some people are alot more open and exploring too more than they would have, so not all bad

We have been on and off fab for years and it has changed, a lot more people testing their curiosities of the lifestyle, but not all stay as they realise it’s not for them. Also find there’s a lot more fake profiles.

Back when you started be it 5 or 10 years ago it would of felt exciting, meeting up with like minded people, something new, that's because it was new, Back then less people used the site so now being a bigger site there will be a lot more timewasters, trolls and people just using the site as wank material etc

I joined in 2008 as a single. Having then spent over a decade as a couple I found myself back with a solo profile midway through last year.

Has it changed in all that time? Well there's videos. That's about it.

The forum population changes constantly, as does the general membership.

There were fake profiles when I joined, timewasters and idiots too. There has been ever since. But the site is still very much the same and it's how you use it that matters. It's not a magic wand. It's not a fool proof method of meeting. It guarantees nothing.

It's what it's always been - a means of contact. Nothing more.

For every person moaning about the site there are plenty more loving it. If it doesn't work for you or make you happy then just don't use it. There are always other options.

People seem to whine about it for months or years, yet remain onsite and never leave. Why stick around putting effort into something that obviously isn't working for them?

i think its still here if you look the problem now is its a male site that is mainly men that is slowly being transformed in to a wank fest / fantasy / dreamers site with big dollops of stinky bullshit thats pushing more and more real swingers away ... what do we expect when there are so many men just look at the forums ok its a tiny tiny sextion but is now run by men fewer couples post now ...

swinging is going underground again couples are taking control away from the internet then add in for many its just adult social media .... as for me i only seek guys online so its just more of the same just with a much bigger rubbish pile .... swinging will never die it will just change path so it always suits the swinger ....

its got worse since videos for sure bound to attract men for other reasons ...

the site was always going to change these sites just grow til they pop...

after all that fab is still by far thee best swinging site on the net every site thats adult or sex related is over populated by men always will be

The other side of the coin is maybe people who have been on the site for a long time become jaded.

When I was part of a couples profile we would just hide it for a while until we felt the spark come back.

Or not as it turned out but that’s another story!

Yes Fab has evolved over the years but not sure I buy this line that lost it's sexy vibe. In fact not sure exscfly what that means but if it means you can't find people to swing with then definitely disagree, especially if a couple.

I think more likely is the people who are not happy with Fab have evolved themselves. What was once fun and sexy can become less so over the years. Certainly has in some ways with me.

Yes the place but has become a bit more of a social media place and yes lots of people go to clubs but there is still a very vibrant "meeting off Fab" world. In fact I am regularly amazed by the new people I discover who have been here ages and not yet come across. As a couple we could meet a new couple off Fab every weekend if we so wished - long list of people to meet and not enough time (and we are far from anything special).

As for Forum...well wouldn't based judgments of Fab overall on Forum. It's a small subset and the overwhelmingly majority of people on Fab never look at it never mind post.

There are plenty of profiles that probably shouldn’t be allowed, as in, as it’s a free site then anyone and everyone can join.

Bit it’s no different - maybe just your mindset has.

It’s a tool to use to give you options so it works perfectly if you use a lot of the options it provides.

If you feel it doesn’t work then try other things or change your mindset.

It’s never FAB that’s the problem when unable to meet or get a sexy vibe from - it’s your mindset.

I’ve been a part of fab in different capacities for 10 years and I think the site itself has been watered down a little but I do think a lot of that is down to an increase in popularity.

Clubs and events arranged through here are still amazing! So are most of the people I chat to. It’s just a lot busier now and easy to get lost in the crowd.

Fab is like twitter. A dirty habit you just keep looking at I find

Though yes it was way better I found around 6-8 years ago , but it’s still cool to get a few notches racked up here and there

Fab is like a box of dodgy fireworks from trotters trading ! You get your blue touch paper lit , it starts to fizz the excitement of what is going to happen the unbelievable feeling of what could be and then ………NOTHING ! It’s as if someone took the firework away . It’s not there anymore . So you carry on in the hope and take another one out of the box . Once get touch paper lit it fizzes but as you expected no ooh ahhh NOTHING ! Sounds familiar and so no more disappointments as you you say goodbye to fab .
