not been on this site in long time but i cant get over how some ppl seem to lack a sense of humour

is this the new how to swing n meet way?

just been berated for not folowing some cpls exact instructions jesus ppl add a n a smile n have fun

As quite a lot of people, mostly single guys do not read a profile correctly or decide they can put their own spin on it, then get upset when you don't reply or you politely tell them ''do one''

It's not rude it's common sense from experience of a thousand profiles just like yours with no profile picture or identity feeling entitled to a response with zero effort on your part to even fill in a profile.

How you present yourself is very important, and people will judge how someone acts and reacts. Granted, being super-nice and super pilote might not get you a meet, but you can bet your bottom dollar that being ranty and sweary on the forums will lose you some.

I don't know about whatever prompted the original message, but people will look at your profile and your forum posts and online personality when deciding who to meet. I get it's frustrating, and there's a need to vent sometimes, but that kind of response will more likely make whoever upset you think they did the right thing rather than kick themselves for losing out.

I think people get rude, because they probably have to deal with so many people who don't read their profiles everyday.

Rightly or wrongly they then get a bit arsey at times,because they're sick of the same messages and the same things day after day.

Bear in mind that from her perspective, you're probably just one of a hundred guys who didn't read or didn't correctly understand her profile today. You might be saying "oh, haha, silly me, I missed that line" to yourself but to her you're just yet another message from someone who isn't what she wants, and she'll have heard the "I didn't see that" line dozens of times.

where's your sense of humour? The couple was surely jesting at you for not reading their profile and the silly mistake, probably now puzzled why you did not get their joke.

Being away from Fab for a long time it's likely you did not get their humorous response and took it as if they were unhappy. Have a rum and a dance rumba and you'll see how funny it all was. Best.

It’s pretty mad in here at times.

I had someone berate me, calling me a bully, ask if I was mentally slow and just generally being a bellend after I sent a compliment to them. They took issue with the fact I had ‘cuckolding’ as an interest too.

Why couldn’t they just ignore my message, if they were so offended?

Maybe because for some of us:

- having boundaries and preferences ignored

- being accused of rude because people don't like our answer

- being sent abuse because people don't like our answer

- being called Nazis because of the above

Isn't something we class as fun or 'banter' and actually we think that's rude, mean spirited and bullying....
