Do you read people's bio's and respect what's on them, or do you just ignore them as in your opinion "they're pointless "

I'll read them, unless they're massively long, in which case I'll move on, as life is too short

Mine says "if I don't reply or delete message then your not what I'm looking for" I've just had a couple of not nice messages, (I'm wary off putting to much here, I don't want to be banned)

Always. Well-written ones are really useful and badly written ones also tell you a lot.

We read profiles in full. The majority don't read profiles, but no-one has commented on this thread admitting to not reading bio's....yet!

We all guilty of that However No matter what Said on a profile It a matter of respect & common sense If whoever saying they not interested move on with it bye bye absolutely no need to send anything more not even repulsive responses. It’s childish behaviour

We always read them, but seems many don't read ours :/ when we joined we agonised over what to put in our bio, but always refreshing to get a message when it's clear its been read.

Most of the time I have a just quick read to see if they are local.

It's amazing how many don't read my profile.

How would I know what they're looking for otherwise? (providing they've written more than one line).

It says on our profile that we’re not looking for single men but they still message or send friend requests..

Always read every detail and will not message if we are not the age they are looking for, etc. and if they mention specific dislikes that we like, they go on the block list to avoid wasting time.

Sunniest Exeter...

I always read them, if I think I may actually message them, but invariably I get a third of the way down and it says "no guys" or "guys we will find you" so then I give up, as I'm never going to message them.

I try and make sure my message is the complete opposite of what they're looking for. It's like a small victory when they block me. Weird, I know. It's my kink

"Mine says "if I don't reply or delete message then your not what I'm looking for" I've just had a couple of not nice messages, (I'm wary off putting to much here, I don't want to be banned)"

Just report and block them.

I read them and like mine to be read (when my profile is showing), also, not just read but read and respected, in terms of who i will and wont meet.

Many people don't feel bios apply to them and will message anyway, because what have they got to lose from messaging?!

Plus many people don’t use forums, so even though you’ll get many agreeing to profile reading here, fab in wider user terms people don't read them/read but ignore them.

Just block those who have a problem with you not reading their messages. Why should you anyway?! They didn’t read your profile. X

Agreed - respect is a key word. I think that clearly not-reading/ignoring bios is quite the red flag. It implies that they don’t care about your preferences…

I always read them.. clearly the messages that I receive most people don’t read mine.

If they don’t have 60 seconds to read your bio then to me it’s an indication you aren't going to be respected x

Always read them. No point wasting each others time. Have been a few instances where I was close to messaging someone then read their profile and quickly realized that we didn’t have similar interests.

Always read them, usually goes more in detail what they are looking for and saves a wasted message.
