2 messages, 1 per week just to remind them we are still waiting for that date they said they would get back to us with. After that they are dropped as friends awaiting them to come back to us if no reply. Have not got time for people who say they can meet but never do.

Probably fatal for a single bloke on here, but if someone is interested, they will engage you from your initial message.

Playing hard to get and chasing those that choose to be is not on my agenda.

I know that's how you roll, so fair play to you, but I have several people/couples on my friends list (mostly over an hour or two drive away) that I talk to once in a while and do hope to meet at some point. I've met two of those recently, one after a few months the other took over 2 years... so I never say never...

I don't understand why that makes her a timewaster? Surely she can change her mind at any point prior to a meet (or even at a meet or that matter).

Maybe you just said something she didn't like or she had doubts about you and was sounding you out...

I have a theory that if you aren't arranging a meet within two weeks of the initial contact and haven't met with in four weeks it's prob never going to happen. There has only ever been two exceptions to this rule, so it works for me.

Also, trust your intuition, if it feels like you're wasting your time, you prob are.

It depends on the messages. If you think you're getting close to arranging something then they go quiet then I reckon you might be on to a loser. However there are some people on my friends list I rarely swap messages with but we know when our social lives allow it there will be a meet. Sometimes people are worth waiting for.

I actually think many single guys are on here for the same reason as many single women....... to find someone to have great sex with, but also, someone who they can also spend some quality time with too, without the complicated bits.

Others are here to shag anything with a pulse.

Their reason for being here is their choice, but those looking for a quick, no conversation shag, I suspect, will be the ones with less meets, as many females do prefer at least a little conversation with their sex.

Yes, it does sound like that. It could also be someone taking the mickey and getting a great ego boost to know she is turning you on.

That is what I am saying, she has the upper hand because of the ratio of m/f on here. She has been fishing, and has you on the hook. You can either hang on and ride the waves just in case she reels you in and actually meets ( which even then she may decide not to have sex with you).....or you can cut the line now and move on.

All I am saying is, if you end the chase then you have no chance of a meet with her. If you continue to 'chat' then there is still a chance that she will meet. Only you know how much time you want to put into it. But dont see it as wasted time, think of it as playing the game.

I've always got a sense from messaging if things are worth pesuing or not. i never "chase" women, but some peoples circumstances dictate it taking time to arrange a meet, i have met after a few days and on other occasions it has taken several months for something to happen. but it always has been down to the communication level. back and forth flirting with no intention is a pointless excercise.
