"yes or no we think it could work with the right people but there is a downside it can break up peoples relationships " If you’re coming to it from a position of being an existing couple, then it can and will split relationships and hurt people along the way

"yes or no we think it could work with the right people but there is a downside it can break up peoples relationships If you’re coming to it from a position of being an existing couple, then it can and will split relationships and hurt people along the way" Genuine question: how would you get into a poly relationship if at least two of them were not already in a relationship? I know nothing about poly so apologies if the question is stupid.

"Poly works when people are honest and clear and suited to that kind of relationship structure and happen across compatible people. Otherwise it's a shit show. But then, that goes for all kinds of relationships " True All relationships, swing, poly or vanilla are doomed without honesty, communication, compromise and compatibility

"There's a few somewhat misguided and I'll informed opinions in this thread. Not professing to being the Messiah, but a polyam relationship can be absolutely fantastic and really enhance your life. But you need the aptitude and skills to be successful." How do you know unless you know where those opinions come from? Maybe they’re from personal experiences… which means they’re entirely valid. Might be just assumptions which aren’t really as valid but still, caution should be considered a valid opinion too no matter where it’s from. Ours is from personal experience. Not sure everyone can look at poly as the same thing either. There’s too many ways to do it. Full three or more relationships, boyfriends and girlfriends on the side and many other formats. Either way; there’s complexity to them all.
