So, you've got a few people in your friends list, but you've had no interaction with them for 3 weeks or more, they've been on line, do you take them out or leave them where they are.

I've now started to delete them

Christ. I quite often don't talk to my actual real life friends for longer than that and it isn't an issue.

I occasionally chat with mine might be several months apart but we are here also doing our own thing and did chat at great length to become friends

I don't think it matters how long we go without chatting. What matters is that we can carry on where we left off even if it was ages ago - just like friends anywhere.

I speak to one on my list every single day.

Another every few months.

I got a message last week from a fab friend that I haven't spoken to since before covid.

I have very few fab friends and that's the way I like it and I will probably remove a couple soon

Simple rule -

Update your friends list every 4 weeks.

You interact or you removed.

Simple really.

Also like the rule of, have met or are arranging to meet with interaction

I have real freinds that I have no interaction with. My best mate sometimes I don't have any interaction for a year. He's still my best freind. Our freindship is timeless and when we get together it's just there like no time has passed.

We're fairly strict who we add to the freinds list. Thus anyone on there chances are we'd still be intrested (from a freinds POV if not always a sexual POV). So no need to unfriend as one day we may just pick up where we left off.
