Why set your pics to be fab'd if your going to block those that fab them??

Perhaps the recipient of your approval may have thought your not for them and culled the potential approach in its infancy?

If someone winks I look at their profile and they are not a fit then I block to save their time and ours.

Chances are they’ve looks at who fab’d them. They felt you weren’t going to be compatible, and did a block to save both your time and theirs, should you have followed up fabs with an attempt at conversation.

All in all, it’s no big deal.

Because they want to choose who fabs maybe or because they don't want to receive mail from you and they're preempting that. It doesn't mean they don't want any fabs at all.

Maybe they think they may know you? I've blocked people who I've seen fabbed me who I know and don't want to know

or who I've conversed with on a previous profile so know they don't float my boat

Most likely because you don't appeal to them so they want to just make it simple and avoid you being able to message. Makes sense. Means you don't waste your time messaging in the future and they don't waste their time.

In this and other recent threads concerning blocking, there seems to be a presumtion that being blocked by a profile is somehow an insult or criticism whereas I think a lot of folks just use the block option as another filter to exclude incompatible ppl from future searches and thereby avoid wasting anyone's time

We do that it's alost like a filter for us,we always check who fabbed our pictures and if there is someone we wouldn't be interested in meeting then we block them just no point if we are never going to meet with them.

It's nothing personal, but just because you like there profile doesn't mean they have to like yours or except the fab, it's purely a admin thing so they don't revisit your profile by mistake & maybe give you false hope that they're then interested in you

Maybe - but my guess is that they weren’t interested in you, so didn’t want to waste anyone’s time. Don’t take it as a snub, for many, it’s just a filter and time-saver.

You’ll never know so no point wondering.

We are blocked by some people and don’t know why and it’s a bit ‘ok, strange’ at first but now I see it as well they’ve lost out on the best night of their lives and shrug my shoulders

If you've fabbed a pic and then you're blocked maybe because you've revisited, maybe once, maybe more they may think you are stalking so blocked you. As by your own admission you fabbed and now blocked, that's at least twice looking.

Different people have different choices on who views their pics

i see fabbing MY pictures as an indication that a man likes me and would like to go further (i.e meet) and he is sort of testing the waters to see if he gets a response.

So , i go look at his profile and if he is definitely not for me , i block him.

THIS action pre-empts him possibly actually writing to me and then i have to write him a "no thanks" reply.

Quite simply , we trans and females get SO MANY Messages that it is a way for me to cut down on receiving them and having to respond. i guess i dont have to respond , but , i just think it is courteous to reply to anyone who takes the time to write to me , but , this can take up a lot of time.

Maybe they don't care whether you like their pic or not, they just use it to attract potential partners?

Because they want to choose who fabs maybe or because they don't want to receive mail from you and they're preempting that. It doesn't mean they don't want any fabs at all.

My thoughts exactly. Perhaps they're thinking that because you've fabbed their pics that you'd be looking for a meet with them and that your next step would be to contact them and, as they're clearly not interested in you, they're pre-empting any messages by blocking you.

Blocking is just one of many tools available to us on fab. Don't take it to heart.

Seems that too many people on here get too hung up on those that aren't interested in them rather than focusing on those who might be
