music at swingers clubs

So after some research for a trip to Germany. It became apparent that many sex clubs (not just in Germany) there is a big emphasises on the music. With some people even turning up for their fave DJ (and probably so they can shag to them in the background, or say they went to a sex club).

On another version of fab there were even loading bars...

Sex. 0. Party/music

...Detailing what the night is like.

So it got me thinking why in the UK is their less emphasis on the music at swingers clubs? Is the demographic differnt, Culture, lisenceing laws?

Just curious.

Theres always background music at the club we go to but wouldn't want it to be intrusive.

There is background music where I go and if you want to hear it properly they have the dance area. I don't go for the music myself ha.

It depends what clubs you go to, but also I think to the type of club. In sauna-style clubs there is some music in the background but that's about it. In nightclub-style clubs, there is loads of music, including DJs, which is not always great when the music is so loud or intrusive you can't have a chat with people. I experienced that very recently at one of the events I went to- the music was so loud at the bar area, where you are supposed to interact with people, that you could hardly hear anything, yet hardly any music in play areas where you could do with a bit of a beat.

Many clubs have a definite nightclub vibe. However only a small percentage of swingers get on the dance floor, maybe the British don't dance as much?

I have been to a few clubs nightclub looking ones (galores), ones with no distinguishing look (OP4F), and clubs that look like you are hanging out in some rich persons home (radletts). And don't think I have seen many people dancing.

Even in Galores which was (i)legally a nightclub (a long story about that closure) to where they had an actual DJ playing there were not really anyone dancing. (Which was funny looking back on it him go through all the hand gestures to get a non existent crowd going).

Are swingers in different countries younger? I mean in places like Germany & Holland they have Techno (sex) clubs pretty self explanatory the clue is in the name what they're about.

The background music in clubs is mediocre at best...

Would love to hear something in the "aim to head mix" style, a bit more ravey or rock/metal, rather than pop pulp.

That's an epic storey. Mine not so good but I rember at OP4F for some reason between the porn movies on the screen a DDR version of Rasputin came on the screen.

I remember everyone looking around thinking what? Especially as the owner made a lecture about the quality of his music selection for the club. And when a version. Hotel California had just the right amount of Dubstep' influences.

Best we have heard was at The Attic earlier this year. As we have to drive over 100 miles to get there, we often look to incorporate our trips with a couple of hours at a northern soul night, before heading off for a bit of playing. One this particular night, we had popped over to a NS club in Notts and got to the Attic just after 10. Within a couple of minutes we heard some classic northern soul being played down the quieter end (away from the bar). We both started dancing, much to the bemusement of the men heading towards the glory holes there. Moses Smith's "Girl across the street" is now forever tainted by the memory of my wife wanking two blokes off in the glory hole, while still dancing.

In general, I am not a fan of the music played in clubs. Very hard to get amorous when "Summer Lovin'" from Grease is blaring out. (Yes, Jaydees, I am looking very sternly at you!).

Techno, verging on the intense and industrial. It won’t be for everyone but it works for me.
