FabSwingers.com forum: Ever bumped into vanilla friends on a Fab social?

This has happened to us twice, fortunately on both occasions they were not close friends so we were able to introduce our meets as people we knew that they wouldn’t be aware of and there wasn’t any danger of them wanting to join us, but it’s always been a moment for some quick thinking.

One one of those occasions we had two separate people come to our table to say hello when we were with our guest…it’s agonising having to chit chat while you are willing these people to clear off and let you get back to Fabbishness!

So, has this happened to others, any awkward moments or were you able to style it out?

No, but I want to go to a swingers club, but worried incase I meet someone I know there. I know we'd all be out doing the same thing, but I like to keep my life private.

That's why I'm thinking about maybe visiting one a bit further away...

That’s only ever happened to us at the Fab Bristol Socials, we’ve met a few people that we know from the vanilla world there…we were all surprised to see each other! But it was all fine.

Not so far but if we did we'd just say "this is our friend Bob" and offer no further explanation.

Yes, that’s what we did…but our close friends would find it very strange they’d never heard of Bobina before!

Yes, that’s what we did…but our close friends would find it very strange they’d never heard of Bobina before!

. A friend of mine once asked me what I was doing that evening. I told her that Mr N and I were going to meet a male friend and have a threesome. She replied with "tell me something believable!" Sometimes when vyiu tell the truth they just don't believe it

Maybe all people you may know want to be private too, so they also thought of visiting a club a bit further away, and you both end up in the same club?

That would be funny.

I generally think if I meet someone in a club I don't have much to worry about because If I know them and didn't know they this about them they are likely being private as well.

Couple of times for us! Bumped into neighbours in club play Blackpool, then a few weeks later bumped into auntie & uncle out dogging.

Both occasions we were mortified.

To be clear though we’re not talking about meeting people at swinging specific events - if you are both there then you both know you are there for the same thing.

We meant random encounters in public while you are getting to know another swinger.

Makes complete sense .. most people wanting things to be private really should be doing the same. If you have social medias profiles and lots of friends or groups of acquaintances it's very likely these 2 works will collide with perhaps embarrassing consequences hence im very private. Distance is a good thing tbh. Within reason.

Yep, this has happened before (many years ago as a couple) in a pub we thought was safe.
