They then release the pigeons and see if they are smart enough to fly home. When they get home, they win because the pigeons return but they lose because they're at their own house.

This is the only other definition i can find that might fit.

The art of having a conversation with someone when you don't know anything about them, sometimes not even their name.

Been wondering the same and messaged the person involved asking but couldn't get a straight answer apprently its a secret society type of thing however, he also mentioned a particular set of owners of a club which I call bullsh*t on as I'm a regular at the particular club and the owners know nothing about it.

I believe it is an attention seeker, obviously no one has heard of this so message him asking therefore giving him more attention.
