Unsolicited 'friends' requests

Jump to newest

By *randMrsLP OP   Couple

I just used to delete them but since yesterday I've just blocked them

Often, some you may have intereacted with once just send you a friends request but the other 50% of the time you have not even chatted to them. The ones I have chatted to eg, one simple thanks etc from me - IMO sending a friends request without first talkig about it is wrong.

I therefore take the time and effort to block them, Am I being too harsh?

No, seems a pretty sensible response to us. We get a few, and we do exactly the same. If you are so rude as to not to talk to us before you ask to see uncensored pics of S, then... well, off to the bin you go!

Absolutely not being too harsh!! We feel often picture hunters wanting to see your private pics, but the other alternative is wait till they're not online accept. Perve or not as the case may be unfriend then block!

Frankly we agree with you though..

You're not being too harsh at all, you can run your profile how you like, and those people clearly aren't a good fit for you.

Might I suggest though: wait until they're offline, accept the request and take a look. Make sure to Fab one picture before removing them again, and never acknowledge it

Just updated our status with the exact same topic.

Currently just delete any from single males, unless there’s been previous chats. Even then have also used the ‘offline and look’ sometimes if couples, female or tv

Seeing as I’m inundated, I have an admin mange all mine for me.

I mostly ignore but sometimes I block.

I find it the weirdest thing to do without engaging in a message first but figure they just want to look at the friends only pictures.

When someone with zero pictures does it- I wonder why.

I don't really mind friend requests but then again it would depend. This is a social site after all. If it is just pestering for sex then I would then just block but seems as this has never happened to me I can't say for sure.

The vast majority of friend requests I've received over the years have been from people I've never spoken to.

Many of them from women competing on hotpics and who need as many friends as they can get. They have zero interest in my pics or in any engagement at all.

I can't be arsed with their games so I've never accepted any of them regardless of how hot they tell me they are.

I (LB) think it's a site problem not a user problem in most cases. If Fab added a 'do yo want' prompt after clicking on it then they would mostly disappear as the Hotlist option is right by the Friend Request and I believe that's the category most folks are aiming for.

We used have in our profile "random friends requests get a block", would still get them and ended with a massive block list! Generally we'll wait until they're offline have a look at their friends pics (often just genitalia) then remove as friends. A "Single Lady" (with 5 verifications) has sent us 8 yes eight friend's requests this year alone (thanks private notes!), always along with a wink. "She" has never sent a message, she must be shy

We get them even though we state it in our profile. We ignore them, wait until they have gone offline and then accept, have a sneaky peak and unfriend.

If people can’t accept our boundaries on here, what are they going to be like in the bedroom? It’s a red flag for us.

Sadly, we are not the only ones.

The conclusion I have drawn is they send the friends through in the hope we wittingly or unwittingly click it and the see our 'friends only' pics.

We don’t get unsolicited friends request without chatting. Cpls always chat with us first and then ask us if they want to add friends.

If you getting such requests from verified genuine cpls then it’s wrong. I would block them regardless their starry verifications.

We learn from such things ourselves too. We never ever send friends request to anyone without chatting with them and only if a meet is possible in the future.

Strangely enough I don't feel lucky when someone can't be arsed taking the time to chat to me.

I don't feel lucky when they do send messages full of demands and instructions.

In fact I don't feel lucky when anyone gets in touch if they can't treat me as an equal and thinks I should be grateful for the attention.

From the other side of the coin - it can seem pretty full on when you log in and see that a person has sent you a message, a wink and a friend request all at once.

I usually avoid those types as it gives the impression that they’re a bit too eager and don’t respect boundaries.

Not saying that it’s true of you. It’s just how I usually interpret it. It can be a little off putting.

"I peep the pics then block since that's clearly what they wanted to do"

but even your profile says you woukd accept a fr if it was someone you wanted to meet , but if a normal guy read this post they peob be terrified to even send one in case they was classed a creep or a wierdo hahaha

see my point ....its a silly thing to hate , just block , ignore remove do whateva makes u happy but posts like this will for sure put off the half decent guys purely throu fear of being classed as a dickhead basicially hahahaha

I don't wanna meet someone that can't speak before they send a friend request. Its basic manners.

"i mean yea...true to a point

but 90% of public pictures on on profiles are either sucking dick , getting shagged or playing with themselfs or a dick pick of their partner..or a titty out or a bum pic ...at the least its a sexy pic in lingire lol

we all kmow what typa site this is so i cant see how a friend request is so invasive , or rude or wierd lol

us genuine single guys dont seem to do anything rite or ok at this point hahahaha "

My friends pics are exactly that, for people I know well and have met. Ones that I don’t want the whole of fab to see.

Everyone uses their profile differently.

We get loads too.

If I wanted a complete random that hasn't even bothered to so much as say hello, to see them, I would have just made them public...

Glad it's not just me then. I get so many everyday! I mean what do these people actually expect to happen? Yeah sure, have a look at my private pics. It's not like I'm keeping them there for a reason is it

It's perhaps the best policy. I often wink them, not taking more effort than they bothered with. But largely these chancers make no further effort at all. I assume most want wank fodder. Clueless, lazy chancers. That's my 25 years of experience

i have to say some on my friends list are a long way from me and chances of meeting are slim.

but they are nice, good to talk to and sort of built up a good online relationship.

and thats not a bad thing really. always nice to hear how others are doing

Anyone else get repeated random ones? I initially thought it was just stupidity but then wondered if they're actually on a wind up

Strangely i get a few from men and women. Probably because of one of my cum shot vids used to be public and was quite popular. I accept, look at pictures, fab then block.

"We just ignore them. Deleting them means they can send another after a certain amount of time has elapsed"

Exactly what we do unless we’ve interacted and they’ve asked in a polite manner

"My profile says no friends request unless we have already spoken, obviously people can’t read, I just bin them"

Just that. Our profile states, if you try to avoid questions, we will ignore/block - they defo do not read - then we have stated we like 'polite' people and about 50% of the men that contact us are so eager to fuck the wife they cant even say a simple 'hi' in their intial post, always felted or blocked

Ha! I’m glad I’m not the only one that gets annoyed when people avoid answering questions. Usually I’ll ask twice and if they still continue the conversation without acknowledging the question, it’s a block.

Guilty of this sometimes mainly after a few drinks...

Doesn't bother me receiving them, just delete if I'm not interested. What is annoying though is when you get ones from someone with zero friend pics and not even verified

Unpopular opinion haha

Feel like this place is all backwards. Somehow it got this way and people started following the rest, you know… herd mentality(not intended to any particular individual, but to how the website is being used)

Winks: are getting ignored...?

“wink

/w??k/

verb

close and open one eye quickly, typically to indicate that something is a joke or a secret or as a signal of affection or greeting.

"he winked at Nicole as he passed" “

So, if we wink it means we like you. Wink back?, we send a message.

You’re not getting a wink back?, probably we’re not interested

Or maybe we missed it, so send a friend request

Friends requests

“Urban dictionary

A great way to make new friends.

A phrase which often causes the elderly to become baffled, then irritated, and then baffled again. Frequently accompanied by a facial expression which illustrates confusion.”

“friend request noun

/'frend r?kwest/

/'frend r?kwest/

?an invitation to follow somebody's activity on social media”

It means just that, a friend request! We like you and we would like to know you better.

Probably you missed our wink as you have to many and we’ll send a friend request to increase the chances you’ll see we like your profile. If we really like we might send a message to.

Don’t like the friend request?, just ignor it and leave it there. We won’t be able to send a new one

Why getting offended or annoyed?

Why not sending a message first? You’ll say…

Because there are to many fake profiles and to many messages getting missed due to winks and friend requests not being appreciated.

it is easier and faster to filter 100 winks than 100 messages.

Most probably the intended functions of “wink” and “friend request” is to make the website more enjoyable and somehow we all decided to ignore and get frustrated over them?

Disclaimer: should probably read better, the terms of use for the website

If this opinion upsets you in any way, unread it haha

Have fun and happy swinging
