So I was looking to buy so lingerie for a female friend and came across this website where a thong/g-string cost £300 the bra was £460. Which got me thinking, what’s the most anyone on here has paid for lingerie and was it worth it?

Let me know.

Oh, I did buy it and it looked amazing on.

Gillingham

Yikes that's expensive. Most I've ever spent is probably a quarter of that.

£300 for a thong ? For that price it must have been made from the G-string of Jimmi Hendrix's guitar

I can’t remember the amount but some gorgeous What Katie Did lingerie for an ex. It was definitely worth it.

Absolutely no where near that price.. when we lived in Newport they had an Ann Summers discount store in the city centre which was always full of absolute bargains..

The price tag means nothing.

It's about the style, cut, shape that fits the body not the £400 price tag. You just pay for the name.

I've tried on undies that cost £200+ and the cut etc didn't fit well on me and didn't flatter my body shape.

The most I've spent is around £50, these fit/suit me very well and very good quality.

We've never spent that much on individual items but my lingerie collection represents a considerable investment.

Considering how much people are prepared to spend on the transient pleasures of alcohol and tobacco I think choosing to spend money on something that will give pleasure over and over can only be a good thing. I hope you had many hours of pleasure from the items op.

Good.

I tend to look at any clothes in terms of cost per wear. If I buy an inexpensive coat for instance it will probably only last one winter possibly two. One I can wear for ten years will probably represent better value.

I understood that very well in the days when I could only afford inexpensive clothes.
