To some people hitting 50 does signify over the hill (usually towards men) And that’s okay. There are lots that see past it or see 55 as a cut-off. I think it’s more important how you see yourself, your thoughts about yourself reveal themselves by how you carry yourself

Why would you be less of a man?

I found fifty to be a watershed in my life. I began to reassess priorities etc but I didn't feel less of a woman.

I guess you're mainly talking about fab though and it is very easy to feel that you suddenly become superfluous on here after a certain age.

I would say search out people whose profile preferences include your age group and don't look for those who don't

Turning 55 is great for me.

My body is not far of it was when I was 40 and so now it’s gone from average to being pretty fit for my age.

I don't think you're past it at any age. I'm 63, still enjoying life and having fun. It's all in the brain, and my brain tells me I'm still 20. The body tells me differently the next day though ??

I only discovered myself when I turned 50 and didn't join this site until I was 52

In the 7 years since I have 60+ verifications across the 4 different profiles I've had in that time.

My age has never been an impediment or even a topic of conversation.

It only ever becomes an issue if you make it one yourself.

I have had problesm with keeping it hard last year or so becuse of many worries etc, but I'm realtively slim, realtively fit so at 50 i felt and looked early 40's

No. I’ve been swinging in various forms for 25-30 years and the last 5 since turning 50 have been some of the best. Of course need adjust expectations slightly as get older in terms of own performance (quick repeating is now not possible for example) and who you can meet but even then managed to meet one or two ladies in late 20s/30s. Best of luck from another old fogey
