Maybe I’m doing things wrong, but I wait to be invited to play, I wouldn’t dream of asking, pestering or mither ladies or couples. Maybe this is the reason why I’m yet to break my play in a club virginity. Rightly or wrongly It’s just my way.

Playing uninvited ( e.g touching) or doing anything without consent is not an option, it's abuse, so you can never be wrong for being respectful.

However, nothing wrong with asking politely if they would welcome you joining in depending on the situation. Read the signs. If the play is in an open area, and people playing are receptive to others joining in, they will look around while playing, make eye contact with summer of those watching, maybe smile. Those are signs that makes reasonable for you to politely ask if your participation is welcome.

If the players, on the contrary, seem absorbed into their play, even in an open area, most likely they just enjoy being watched but assume that they don't necessarily want company.
