Come on - time to own up.... how many timewasters have you all had. So many people feel the need to mention how many timewasters there are on here in their prfiles, messages and posts... so how many have you encountered?

I guess I should make clear what a timewaster is...

someone (single or couple) who goes to the trouble of arranging a meet, confirms they will be coming and then doesn't turn up. I'll even go as far as someone who arranges a meet and then at the last minute sends a text to cancel (if it's dodgy or not the first time they've done it).

Someone who chats to you and never arranges a meet or just disappears before arranging a meet is NOT a timewaster... they just decided not to waste their time taking things further with you.

So - come on..... how many times have you been stood-up by a timewaster in what sort of time period? Does the number of timewasters out number the ones who show? And may be an important bit... how many of the timewasters were rush jobs? (you know - last minute quickly arranged things)

I've had 3 this year (that I can remember) and one was a last minute grasp the moment MFM thing and one of the guys bottled it.

The other two were folk I had met a few times before who then became unreliable.

I am sure all these complaints about timewasters are mostly people not getting what they want thrown at their feet in wrapping paper with a bow on top... or rush jobs... where people will get carried away in the moment and agree to meet because they are all horny... then the reality kicks in 2 minutes after arousal wears off.

But we'll see.

One postponement that in the end we decided not to make further plans with

One no show that was a last minute arrangement......we were going to a club,he said he would meet us there and did'nt so no big deal

Thats all in 3 years

Although we call them timewasters ourselves to be honest who knows why couples dont turn up ? we ourselves have had to cnx meets because of real life stuff but we would hate to be called timewasters ...but we have been actually let down after arranging meets about 3 times in 7 years two iof them in the last 2 months mind

the only time wasting we have found is thouse that add you as a freind with out taking the time to read your profile first or the ones that add you the keep looking at your pics but never email you or reaply to emails whats the cure for them easy delete them from your freinds list and if you want block them its easy and save's wasting any ones time

I've had quite a few last minute "oh go on then" rushed meets... usually when I had the intention of a quiet night in and then change my mind (tends to be around 7pm that it happens - whoops look at the time) so I have a hunt through the meet today and arrange something there and then. And you are right - you can spot the twats at 50 paces before you agree to anything.

They are hardly wasting your time by being on a list though are they? I wouldn't call them timewasters at all... space wasters maybe lol

Oh! For a moment I thought this was going to be about how many partners we had! Run out of fingers and toes before I actually read the post lol! Met someone a couple times, arranged a mmf with another of my subs, both phoned to say they were on their way both chickened out never arrived. When one found out other had cancelled said he would come on his own but the mood was lost! Another sent text to say his mum was rushed to hospital and had to drive to Exeter, must have had lap top on dash as he was on site the whole time lol! Three in two years not bad all things considered!

This year probably 5 and one possible for this coming monday night! Thats a single guy would you believe, met socially, then arranged a time for fun for this coming monday night. So far he hasn't answered any mails we sent him this week although he has read them! So he has until tomorrow to let us know time and room he has booked in hotel or I guess he will go down as another time waster!

Been guilty of it ourselves though.

Arranged to meet a single guy a long way away. then week before told him we couldn't make it. The truth was we had double booked that weekend and didn't realise till the week before. He's taken us off his friends list now, shame really cos Katee would have loved to get it on with him as well at some time.

have had a couple of guys cancel on me - some for more beleivable reasons than others lol i dont mind if its real life stuff (family/work etc) as i have had to do the same in the past.

What i hate is the people that call you a timewaster if you cant meet within 2 days of chatting to someone - its just not always possible lol i hate to be called a timewaster and often can feel pressured into meeting someone because i think they will think i am a timewaster - dont want to get a bad name!!!

2 no shows, not even a text or phone call to apologise afterwards a few years back

1 pulled out 1.5h before I was due to set off to meet him, he did text to apologise

2 met up for drinks, played for 5min and disappeared They should not count as timewaster I believe, however, I did feel I was used as some kind of experiment to see if they could still pull

So not too bad for me really!

lots of times for me, i've had more guys cancel last min that just not show up but ive had a few no shows too, i think because i only meet single guys the chances of it happening for me is higher, not saying there are more single guys that are time wasters but i think because there are so many of them playing away, theres more chances of something coming up last min ie wife deciding to stay in after all, which means they have to let you down, i dont arrange to meet single guy but then not all of them are honest lol

2 no shows in 8 years

the worst one was when we had driven 3 hrs to their neck of the woods - booked in to the hotel and was sitting in the restaurant when we finally got a text to say they couldnt make it - i dont ever want to meet anyone who doesnt want to meet us but that was our second meet and they could have had the decency not to put us to all that trouble - yes still annoyed with them 6 years later

none so far. But we have only met one other couple from hear so far.

I feel bad though as We have mesged back and fourth a few people fromhear and would love to go play but nothing can ever been organized in 2 mesg or something we have kids and a big family. things need planning and even then if anything gose wrong kids ill, babysitter canseled or something.

Iwouldnt want this to put people off but I try and be truthful.

We have had 3 timewasters this year, which isnt bad as we tend to have a meet most weeks. Everytime they were single guys who let us down. We may be a bit strict because we know things do crop up from time to time, but once someone has let us down they never get another chance.

Have never been let down by a couple, long may it last

That's pretty scarey... being pressured into meeting

You are NOT a timewaster for NOT agreeing to meetwith someone at the drop of a hat... you become a timewaster when you agree to meet and then don't! No person has to agree to do anything until they are ready to agree to it.

If anyone pressurises you into meeting they should get a two word reply... the seccond word being 'off' and the first word being what they are not going to get for trying to guilt-trip you into meeting them!

fully agree with polo we have had people who we would have met but they hadnt the patience to wait till we had time and mainly a sitter too as we wont play with the daughter in the house . maybe some of you find it the same as us play time hard to come by and an empty house too lol.as for time wasters 2 this year but then it turned out to be their loss and our gain .

ive had that a lot too but i think guys that treat you like that are doing you a favour because they are letting you know they not the type of person you want to meet before you waste your time meeting them

my reply to guys calling me a time waster after they have mailed me is, i didnt ask you to mail me so how am i wasting your time?

We've never had any one just not turn up although we've had cancellations but that's just life and things crop up. We also can't just arrange to meet at the drop of a hat and are also sympathetic to others in the same situation - that's life! Wouldn't call anyone a time waster for not being able to meet straight away - that's jus plain daft!
