How do people deal with difficult chats surrounding the lifestyle. It was so much easier when our kids were younger and my wife was a more active part of things. Now she isn’t as active and so it’s mostly just me on here and we’re practically seperated. Plus our kids are now 18 and asking way too many questions about it all. We tried to raise them in a sex positive way but some of the questions they ask can be tough to answer

What sort of questions. .. if I'm going to a club or meeting friends.. that's exactly what I say to my older kids.

Our daughter especially is seeking specifics and our older answers that were a bit broad don’t seem to cut it. Her mum thinks she interested in experiencing the lifestyle but I don’t know if I’m comfortable having those sorts of conversations

My kids know I'm a swinger. My oldest daughter dabbled for a while. I answered lifestyle specific questions or pointed her in the right direction... I won't Answer personal stuff about my likes as that's nothing to do with them

You can be sex positive in a household and also have boundaries about what you share related to your own experiences.

She could be interested in the lifestyle, and that’s a choice she’d have to make. Have you tried to suss out whether it’s a curiosity about the lifestyle or her parents’ sex life? The latter would definitely not make sense for close family to ever discuss never mind parents/children. You’d have to put an end to such intrigue if that’s what it is. Openly communicating about the lifestyle in general, and providing resources for her to discover the lifestyle shouldn’t be uncomfortable especially as you’ve said you’ve raised them in a sex positivity environment.

There is a slight worry that it’s about our sex lives specifically as she went through a phase of trying to watch us though I think we dealt with that well at the time
