Not sure how porn could communicate this, so much of it is played out on a psychoemotional level rather than the physical.

I've got one pointer, infamous 80s film 9 1/2 weeks has one scene which made me perk up, it was like nothing I'd ever seen or heard of before. I can't say whether watching 2 hours of random cheesy sexploration is worth it for this gem of a scene though ha! And it wouldn't work without it, it's all about the tension!

Oh it's obviously never going to touch the real thing but we still enjoy watching the scenario play out.

Two hours of cheese does seem excessive for the pay off but we'll see how bored I get over the weekend

Yes, this is the thing. The sizzling effects of these kind of scenarios are more about what happens in the mind than on the bed, and if a director can create that they are probably not making porn, sadly!
