Has swinging ever spoiled anyone’s relationship or marriage? Feel free to share your stories or advice?

Not from our perspective but best advice is to always be communicating and be open and honest.

I’ve been with couples before where it was evident one half wasn’t really into it and there was some coercion going on. Definitely not a good vibe.

Communication is key and not foisting one’s desires on the other without figuring out exactly what they’re trying to get out of the experience

It obviously has. There's hundreds of messages that start with " used to do this or that with my ex".

Or maybe they were cheating & not swinging

We haven't played yet... however its already made us communicate more, trust more and overall bought us closer together.

Lots of them on here for sure... had plenty of messages admitting they were playing away... even off a FWB couples where both were plating behind their partners backs.

I think swinging might be the trigger for problems that already exist.

& they are the ones we avoid like the plague. Hate cheaters of any sex. Just not trust worthy.

That could also be very true. If there's already cracks then swinging isn't the answer.

We treat it as an extension to an already great relationship. We play when we want to as an added extra.

Yep.

But no. Not sharing details.

It's vital if both partners are going to be happy with what's happening. There are an awful lot of people who are just going along with it to maintain harmony. It's a decision they've made for one reason or another but they're not being honest with their partner.

Entirely the opposite for us, I don’t think we could be any closer

For sure it's an instant no from us too! As a genuine in love couple we can't see how people can do it, I mean if we weren't happy we wouldn't be together and let each other know that!

It's great and refreshing to see a thread where it's different for everyone.

As some threads the contents are very much that it should be one size fits all!

Years ago I met a new couple trying out swinging for the first time. The man had apparently badgered his wife into doing it and eventually she reluctantly agreed.

We met in the pub, he was totally pissed when we walked over to their place. The wife and I got on well and she was really enjoying herself when he got all nasty and told me to leave.

She insisted I stayed to finish in her and then said she would make me a coffee. He paced up and down like a caged tiger. I think there would have been some harsh words after that.

No. It has exposed us to points of conflict and realisations about each other that has helped us to better understand ourselves and each other better going forward. In that respect its been beneficial and helped to strengthen our relationship.

We met a couple (not to play with) who were in the process of splitting up because while they were both enthusiastic swingers, he only was only really interested in having sex with her when they were with others, and that had put a serious strain on the relationship.
