I block for a variety of reasons, mostly people I feel I am not compatible with. Any mention of "snow", "chem", 420 on their profile or in status update, it's a block, for example. But also those who are miles away or "working in my area" and want a quick hook up/expect me to drop everything and go to a layby/hotel to meet a total stranger. Another example - creepy or persistent messages after being told I was not interested. And so on.

People whose profile pic is a pussy that looks like an axe attack scene from ‘Vikings’ (which is a great series by the way). I sometimes look at this whilst eating breakfast.

We use the block function as a way to note profiles we wouldn't like to interact with.

The forums tend to be a useful place to get an understanding if we would get on with someone. There have been some views expressed here which we absolutely do/would not agree with therefore its easier to block as reminder of this.

We also use it for those who seem to not respect/understand the "polite no thank you" that lots of people demand on here. Far too many times we've kindly replied that we would not be interested in moving further but still receive loads of follow up messages asking to meet.

Also on sock puppet profiles that some who are blocked use to get around those blocks or get them to have a dig in the forums on their behalf.

Blocking list of why is not exhaustive.. One pet hate is not being honest. Another is all cock pics, same cock different angles. Any profile that contains decade or more old photos. Arranging to meet but had a meet whilst arranging. Persistant texts when I said politely not interested. Those profiles with just mobile showing, shadow photo and will fill this in later. Just some of my reasons for using block.

If they send any meet now messages or and they have only pics of the lady.

We do block people in our updates that we know we would never be interested in/compatible with.

I'm much more ruthless on my single profile.

We’ve blocked a few profiles for different reasons but mainly if male is getting too ‘needy’ with wifey (she doesn’t want a bf), very local and won’t take a polite no thanks (we value our privacy!) or demanding reasons why we said they’re not for us (the list could be very long lol) … We don’t need such dramas in our life!

Yes, and do so frequently.

If I come across a profile and having read everything think we are not a match, then I block… especially if it’s clear that I am not what they are looking for (saves wasting each other’s time). I read the profile and often notice things that for me would be highly incompatible. Things like pharmaceutical references and bigotry / racially discriminatory language etc are high on my list of block material.

I’m sure I’m not alone in operating this way.
