But..

How far should I take it above the usual ass slap and hair pulling?

Regardless of any of our answers.. I should be her you ask.

We all have differing views of what means what and at the end of the day its not us you are playing with.

She's not sure herself! She reads a lot, so I'm "trying' to read some of her books and get an idea of what we can do together. Some more extreme things will obviously be for fantasy. But others ....

Get her to take pictures of the bits she’s reading and send them to you.

Try doing what you’re doing but amp it up a bit. Next time you fuck her doggy style, sink your fingers into her flesh a bit more, and grab a handful, then use that to control her movements. Bite her neck whilst slowly spooning. Pay attention to how you touch her and the response you get, and WATCH for reactions.
