Is it a perverted pastime to make a date and then not turn up ?

Do people, men in particular , get a cheap thrill of letting people get ready travel to meet making detailed arrangements and then not turn up. Ive had my fair share this week another tonight, these are all first timers

I am sorry to hear you have had a run of no show, unfortunately it's coming more and more common on here. To many chicken out at the last minute and are not even man enough to send a message to say so.

I find that insane. The ratios on here make it super hard to even get a reply to a message, never mind actually arranging a meet. If I’m lucky enough to get something arranged, I’m 100% turning up.

Story of our fab life had 2 meets arranged hotel booked and everything sitting in hotel waiting on the couple arriving then get a message to say only male can make it 2nd time chatting with couple had dates times face pics sent etc then the day before we tried to message to confirm to find out that they had hidden thier profile and blocked us

Yes I had it and yes I flewn the meet now flag and just let someone bang just for the sake off it to not waste preparation times or hotel costs there definitely been a fair share off guys I wouldn’t normally meet just because off this happing

I've never experienced this because I've never had a no show or been one in 7 years here.

I don't doubt that it happens but I'm always curious why it seems to happen to some people more than others because I don't put my experience down to luck.

I've been here ten years and like you previously have not encounter

A problem .as I say I talk people long time before meeting .but its becoming very Much thing now that people don't keep their word and turn up .

Sorry OP, it's so shit! I had a meet organised with a guy in a pub, supposedly around the corner from his house. He never showed up! I later found out that this was a constant theme with many others!

He was well verified too, so no idea what kink he got out of it?

It’s certainly strange behaviour and I can see I’m not the only one, if you were to look at the text messages, the place, the time, the clothes they would like me to wear, even “I’m just arriving”, get ready to stand by your car, I’m in a Mercedes, look out for me, then in each case their phones went dead.

No car was close, parked or otherwise, these were first time meets, so its not “I dont fancy you after all” occasions, we just never met up. Very odd.

It was something that always happened on dating sites (flaking), and as more of those people found their way onto Fab I think it's spilled over. I generally get a vibe on the day if they're going to do this so send a message to confirm just in case.

I did have someone walk out half way through a social once. We were having a coffee and a pleasant chat when he just said 'I can't do this' and got up and walked out. By the time I got home he'd blocked me.

Maybe I was too nice/ normal/ friendly as the chat was going really well until that point? I think my dirty side is quite well hidden when people meet me in public, but he'd seen the pics so knew what to expect.

The frequent flaking is more of a pain than that one incident though. Seems it happens to all of us.

Can attest to such having happened to me.

A couple who seemed eager; would hurl questions of all sorts; ask for pictures and so and so forth - only for when a date was set and place booked - to not respond; not turn up; no contact.

I have a clear 20min rule. If not contact from agreed time within 20min latest, I’ve moved on.

Mercifully, called a regular hookup of mine, explained what was up and asked if she wanted to come to the hotel

. We didn’t waste the room, but was a tad annoyed for those first few minutes at the waste of time invested.

Unfortunately OP there are a lot of dreamers and fantasists and the question of what they get out of it eludes me too. Funny when you catch them out tho !! Imho they missed out you look lovely x

Unfortunately it’s not just men. We’ve had a couple messaging us right up till an hour before they were due to show then just not turn up and ghost us. It’s a shame that people can’t just be honest.

It’s hard enough actually getting people talking so when we get to a meet stage it’s just a dick move!

I'm sorry to hear you've experienced this level of behaviour OP. I had it happen to me years ago with some moron who intentionally gave me wrong address, he must have been peeping from nearby window. Named and shamed him to warn other gurls of his antics and I got a slap on the wrist from forum mods. (which is fair enough since unknown to me at that time it contravened sites rules). I was just starting out on FabGuys and dint know, reported him for wasting my time and learnt valuable lesson to not be so trusting in future. Luckily, I've only had three bad experiences since having started playing in 2017. It's a real shame we have a few bad apples amongst a good crop of peeps. Best wishes.

Can't really say for men but I've had couples and singles no show.

It's frustrating and rude but then again that's just what some people are.

There's also the people who think they want something then last minute decided it's not for them and don't let you know and last but not least the "wank all day messaging and then cum and block people" divs.

But thankfully sometimes a good one or two pop up and restore our faith
