Just read a very clear definition on a profile and wondered if it matched yours?

This is a swinging site not a sex site, swingers make connections, make friends, chat and have adult fun xx

I'd have to say that I agree with the above and thought it quite succinct

The key word is group, assuming that three is a group. One to one isn’t swinging it’s just a hook up.

choosing not to cheat without their partners knowledge is not swinging it's cheating. Morally there is no way to justify cheating. Only the cheaters try to justify it to make them feel ok about it. If you aint happy be a man/woman and leave them. So your wrong saying swingers are moralistic, we both ok each other to have sex with others. Swinging cpls have probably more trust in each other akso as in not playing away behind each others backs!

Swinging is not cheating is one of those succinct phrases that sounds appealing but doesn't really make sense to me regardless of your views on cheating.

Swinging is the act of what you are doing. Cheating refers to the status of the people doing the act.

You could be swinging and cheating or not cheating. You could be cheating and swinging or not swinging.

Personally as somebody said above I think swinging involves participation of more than two, so threesomes, foursomes or more, perhaps just two but being watched in a club, et - something more than a one to one hook-up which is going on everywhere.

People hooking up via dating apps are not swinging so not sure why it would be swinging just because if is from here. Saying that guess it's just a word. Crack on and enjoy yourself however you wish.

It doesn't matter to me what the reason is. Cheaters will generally justify their actions in one way or another.

I don't judge, but I choose not to tangle with someone playing without permission & it has nothing to do with morals.

No chat, no connection, no friendship, just adult fun-is that not swinging then? I have no idea what swinging means, but I guess it’s useful as an umbrella term for what the collective we do in different ways. One observation is that it is a heterosexual term as most of our gay married/partnered friends live a lifestyle that would be considered swinging if they were straight but they would never use the term.

That's an interesting point. What would they call it?

On this site there are many people we would never want to meet and many who would never want to meet us.

So many verifications are 'social' meets to see if we click, have an attraction, social fetishists who will never play, etc etc etc.

We are all different.

Swinging is just a word that puts us in a bracket, many people don't like labels but it sometimes helps.

What does bug me is how some people's interpretation of swinging is the right interpretation and anyone's else is wrong. Take the OP some people swing to make friends this is true but to lots of others it's about meeting others for sex.

My thoughts on this site is it's a sex site because ultimately I and my wife when she starts playing again will use the site to try find couples and maybe singles to have sex with. Does that mean we are not swingers? According to the OP we are not.
