Fires on rhodes

Woke up this morning to here planes being sent to rhodes to evacuate people. My thoughts are with them people over there. Does anyone know of someone over there now or just found out there soon holiday has been cancelled. Must be a worrying time.

I'm worried. I have family living in an area where there are huge wildfires.

I feel very sorry for people who have had their holiday cancelled and even more sorry for people who are losing their homes, possessions and probably eventually some will lose their lives. I feel extremely sorry for the firefighters working in extreme heat in full safety gear too.

Not replying doesn't mean I don't care

Ps there's been a wild fire on La Palma in the Canaries for over a week. That's followed hard on the heels of a volcanic eruption.
