Oh blimey, third time I've been chatting to someone and they're using fake face pics. Google image search is definitely your friend. Only searched the 1st one as a friend said they were suspicious, but apparently, a lot of people do this!

Haven't happened to me *yet*

But what do these people expect? That others won't notice that a different person has shown up to meet? One reason why it's important to do socials or at least a video call first.

Yes, thats definitely a good idea. I thought it was strange as we'd said about meeting and then he disappeared. He reappeared again this morning, so I checked his image as thought it was suspicious, it's from some guys twitter from 10 years ago - def not him, as said these pics aren't you and he disappeared again. We'd spoken on the phone previously. So bizarre.

There are lot of weirdos on here. I am myself guilty of having let my guard down a couple of times. Apparently even verifications cannot be trusted sometimes. There are many couple profiles run by single guys

Sadly, this has happened to me on a number of occasions. Unfortunately there’s really nothing you can do other than report and block.

I use TinEye.

Oh completely. I chatted to someone for a month, really got on very well and my friend made me check, it hadn't even crossed my mind. As soon as I confronted him he disappeared!! Reported etc and he disappeared, so yeah definitely worth finding out asap so as not to waste time x

I occasionally look through new pics and reverse search them! Amazing how many I catch!
