I was so excited about being a swinger when I first joined this site that I had to tell someone. I told a long term work colleague (also my friend) only to find out that they were on here too, and apparently so was half the office.

Do you have similar stories/experiences?

We’re very selective with who we tell. I started a new job last year and on an away day after a few drinks my colleague (who later became my boss) mentioned something about upside down pineapples, which I brushed off as a joke.

I wasn't really drinking to make sure I didn’t embarrass myself; but he continued and made a less subtle reference to swinging later in the evening and I tentatively shared a little on the proviso it wouldn’t impact my job.

He’d apparently got a ‘feeling’ that myself and Roger were that type… I must have that look about me

We ended up having a really good chat about the lifestyle and it was nice to meet someone who understood the dynamic. We remain friends now even though we’ve both moved on to new companies.
