"Message on my behalf"

Has anyone ever received a message on behalf of someone else as a way to bypass your filters?

One of my M Fab friends asked me to message a woman he knows from here because she was unable to message me due to being outside my age range but she really wanted to meet me

Surely you would just see you can't message the person and move on?

Yep!

Had someone recently not take no for an answer, multiple messages sent so I blocked him. And then he popped up on his couples profile.. and then he logged into his girlfriends profile to message me

Filters are there for a reason, and I’m sure, but correct me if I’m wrong but if the person with the filter messages first the other can reply …

Yeah the person with the filters would need to make the first move other wise they can't make contact

Some people just don't know boundaries and this is what gives us all a bad rep

Can you then reply to the message or will the filter prevent the reply?

What’s the point of setting filters if you’re going to allow people to bypass them?

Is it just some kind of determination test?

Not allowing anyone to bypass anything

I think maybe you've misread my post?

Have I understood this correctly.

A guy you know asked you to message a woman because she really wanted to meet him but filters prevented him messaging?

My opinion is that trying to help someone bypass a filter is not a great idea. And yes I agree if filters prevent you messaging you should just move on

I see him regularly, so he mentioned it on one of the times I saw him

Sorry some folks including the ones that agreed to send the DM on someone elses behalf, don't realize they're also being a waste of time

That's probably one of many reasons some folks have given up on this site

Yes I've had it in the past where someone messaged me saying that their friend wanted to meet me and would I message them as they were way under my age range. I didn't.

Yes a couple with singles profiles. The husband had messaged me from the couples then moved to his own account which his wife obviously couldn’t see. He was openly bi however she did not like me getting compliments from him lol.

Yes a few times, once I also had a 'woman' message me on behalf of a guy I decided wasn't for me to try and convince me otherwise.

It's completely pointless!

A woman who was below my lower age filter contacted someone I had verified and asked them to contact me on her behalf.

They refused so she took it to the next level and started a thread asking me to get in touch.

I didn't and I didn't comment on the thread either but others told her it was inappropriate and she should respect my filters.
