Do you reply to every single spam email or brochure that comes through your letter box, OP?

Also, FAQ on this site does state no reply= no, thanks. Plus, answering "no, thanks" or similar leads, in many cases, to abuse, pleading, or "why not?" messages.

If every single person in my inbox had took the time to read my profile and acted accordingly, I’d spare them a polite no thanks. But the reality is 99.9% of my inbox haven’t read my profile so why should I be polite if they aren’t?

The site FAQ’s state no reply = no thank you. Maybe check out a different site if you don’t like how this one works.

You should read the site FAQ's OP. It's been covered there - and regularly on the forums too.

Simple answer is 'No', it isn't.

No, didn't think so.

You didn't ask them to post them through your door, and the people you're messaging haven't asked you to contact them.

Site rules are that a non-reply should be taken as a 'no, thank you'

I’m on loads of other sites, sex sites swinging sites and vanilla dating sites- I act the same on all.

The attitude of, because you’ve paid for it you deserve replies is terrifying!

Most aren't until they've been told no thanks. There's no way to know how someone will respond to rejection until you reject them and by then it's too late

It's not rude not to reply.

Some ladies and couples get hundreds of messages a day so it simply isn't possible for them to reply to everyone. If you don't get a response, you should assume they aren't interested. If you're getting a lot of "no-replies" then you should consider your profile and the messages you send. Are they giving the right message? Are you standing out from the thousands of other guys on here?

I always sent a short, polite message, some reply, some don't....don't get hung up on it!! The ladies in particular get bombarded with literally 100's of messages which would take an absolute age to reply to.

Take a "no reply" as a "no thank you" and move on.

Yeah, it seems to attract those.

For the record, we do reply to nearly all.

There's an occasion when we don't.

I agree, it would be better if people drew a line under it by replying with a no thank you, though that would also mean everyone responding the same, polite way once they've received that.

Too often, it's not accepted, with either an abusive response or a plea on why they should do things to suit them.

Nope I don't think it's rude at all not to reply. And that includes to messages that I send first.

I personally no longer reply to anyone who sends me messages I don't like, or if they haven't read my profile,cheated through my filters or I just don't like their profile. And I don't care if they think it is rude if I'm being honest,as I don't want to interact with them. It's also why I have filters very tight so I don't get many messages on here which is the way I prefer it.

In general if somebody answers, it leads to continued chat. I've done it myself. The other person/s may not want it so are forced to block. If there is no reply and you forgot you messaged them before then a warning comes up to let you know. Helps you to not repeat message people who clearly have no interest.

If messages are not answered its an answer.

Chances are the person not replying can tell you are looking for something they don't want from you.

The mistake many seem to make here is seeing the pictures and asking for what they want, never mind what the person with the photos wants.

No reply means no thankyou.

As others have stated it is not rude to not reply to unsolicited messages.

No reply = no thanks, that's it no further action required.

Interesting messages from people who have obviously read our profile will always get a reply (very few on here)

Lazy one liners from people who have obviously not got past the first line of the profile get binned (by far the vast majority on here)

So if it is rude not to reply, then it must be equally as rude to send a message without taking the time to read the profile first. Cuts both ways.

Now I'll just get back to deleting all those messages asking us for a private meet in Tenerife.

I’m sure you don’t so here isn’t any different .

I never understand why guys want a not thanks reply when a no reply tells you the same thing anyway .

It can be difficult for all here, from different angles.

Looking at our inbox at times, I feel men have it easier.

There really is, and not all one gender, though some might have you believing otherwise.

If willing to meet Men, that can be easy to find a meet, amongst the much wasted time.

However, seeking only Women or Couples, that proves to be more difficult for the majority.

Men assume that because we have had meets, that it's easy for us, it isn't, we've had meets with them but not yet managed a couple or woman.

It's no easier for us, as it is for anyone willing to meet men.

Difference is, we receive a lot more messages, a lot more pointless messages, many more negative responses.

That's the reality of it.

Understanding anothers perspective is a step closer to understanding how to find what you seek.

Sometimes I think it's a good idea for a thread to be closed early.

OP has listened up and beginning to understand, yet there are many responses still aimed towards the initial post rather than the conclusion.

OP, this comes up often, people bite, you've learned, ignore any response that has missed your update.
