Feel the need these days to start charging people a crazy amount of money to attend basic house parties..

We hold our own and for us we would never consider such a thing..We enjoy the company of others without having to push our hand into thier pocket.

BYOB we understand but thats about it for us..

We do the spending for food and to make those who come feel welcome..

Appears to be a money making situation for some people these days..

Good for us though i guess but just had to ask..

We would never attend a party where large amounts of money are being charged. We don't mind paying for the essentials but when people are profiteering from it we think it's wrong.

a simple question like: "why do you need money for attendees" would clear up a lot of confusion.

Seems a bit deluded really as why poeple would pay when there are going to be no overheads bar a pair of legs

Mmm i understand people buy food so.i dont mind as long as its not too much after all we pay to get in clubs !! But it does baffle me when they used to do them for free and now charge

We have been having parties in our home for several years and we always get a good response and great feedback. We have not and never will charge. We always provide a good buffet and often have themed nights esp Halloween etc when we decorate the house.

We ask people to bring their own booze but always have lager, wine and soft drinks available. We put condoms etc in both "playrooms"

We love doing this and I am in my element playing hostess lol.

Be fair, in these austere times people have to be creative. If you can find mugs prepared to fork out up to £200 for tinned pineapple chunks and mild cheddar on a stick for a shag...well...a fool and his money!

There was a couple who had a pub and ran parties. It was held in a seperate room so it cost nothing more that heating and lighting, plus they charged proper bar prices for the booze.. That is OK to me, except they used to charge £10 per person to get in and they were well attended. They made a fortune and as the parties were well attended, some people obviously thought it was OK to charge this large amount!

To be honest, that is why we never went to one of their parties, we could get into a club for that and have a way better time! We worked out on the figures they quoted for people going, that they took over £2000 on the door alone! One way to boost the business, I suppose!

after all the ones i have attended were prity good food was fantastic which cost and remember the time and effort

most of all ... all the cleaning after washing sheets etc all cost and in view of that its fine

well we go clubs and pay we stay in hotels and pay you go on a bus and pay use a public loo if you dare and you still pay hehehehehee

if people are happy to pay why not its every ones choice to pass

You may not know. I was speaking to a guy on Fab once from Wigan. He went to a party in Warrington. It was posted in the meet today. It said single guys welcome. When he enquired he was told it was £20. He assumed that was to cover costs, buy a few drinks, nibbles etc. When he arrived he was quickly ushered into a side room and asked for the £20. then he was taken to where everybody else was. He noticed only single guys seemed to be taken into the side room when they arrived. Couples and single women came straight to where everybody was. There was also very little food or drink.

Later on he got talking to a couple and swapped Fab details. After talking to the couple a few days later on Fab he realised it was definitely only the single men who got charged. Not only that the women and couples did not know about the charge. The couple were furious and in my opinion rightly so. In my opinion the couples and single women go prostituted out. The guy I chatted with estimated they were making £500 - £600 a party and were holding three parties a week. I believe they still hold the parties. I wonder if the single women and couples know about the charge yet?

£20 is still cheep and do expect everyone to pay the same

as a single in most clubs he would have to pay more than that

most i have ever paid was £10 and then was only £5 but gave £10

and i do check before i go and do a bit of reserch

We've never done the party thing and always done private meet route.

But our thoughts on the charges when we've looked at things like Bath Swingers, are primarily:

We've known guys who've attended what is a private venue, had a fantastic, friendly time, but accepted there was a tiered system of payment.

This kind of feedback from them seems out of step with posts here.

I've run free parties for years and provided soft drinks and nibbles.

Almost without exception I've ended up with more tahn I started out with.

i go to clubs and private parties and dont mind paying something

i know full well it dont guarantee sex neither going to the pub does hehehehehe

we are talking about £20 not £200 so a club is a brothel then as its for profit

so we are all prossies then but its ok because we dont get paid to have sex

get real will you it was the op choice to pay was not held against his will would of cost him more to get in the club even more in a night club

and when has it been a dead sert to have sex when attending these places

because a girl attends dont mean all the men have a given rite to fuck he but a girl in a brothel has no choice

She wasn't pinched for running a brothel as there is no law against having sex in private. She was done for tax dodging.
