Why is there so many of them.. We've had 3 now... What's the actually fucking point of talking, arranging, sharing pics and scenarios, getting to an hour or two before the meet then bailing out. Got no balls guys??

Happened to us again last night (and many many times before). So frustrating. Try to almost expect it but after you've been chatting to someone for weeks and they put a meet up, you message agreeing to meet, sort details, then silence until much later. Vague apology that they lost track of time then leave fab. Wtf? Had a wonderful replacement meet.

To be fair, I've had to cancel due to a dead parent.

It's bad form if they are well verified, as normally that's the biggest indicator that they will turn up. Hopefully you aren't out of pocket by booking somewhere.

And I, as a single man, had 7 failed meetings with couples, I showed up at the place established with them and they didn't answer, others sent me a message with 10 minutes to reach their destination saying they were canceling the meeting for various reasons, a couple invited me to the hotel he didn't answer his phone anymore and blocked me. I also had nice meetings with couples who after ten messages invited me to their home and I had an amazing evening and fun. Keep your head up and move on

2. Couple isn't actually a couple - its a single man. Here to waste the time of genuine single men as some kind of sick sport. I know someone who turned up at a hotel expecting a meet with a couple only to be greeted by a room of jeering "lads" making fun of the fact they "got" him.

3. Couple knows that there are loads of timewasters on Fab so invites 4-5 guys to a hotel. The first one who turns up gets to play. Then cancellations go out to all the others.

The last time I was stood up I suspect was a (1). Went offline from Fab when I was parked outside the venue, and two days later gave me the standard dead relative bullshit.

The trouble is, regardless of their status, most men here married/attached.

They then have to bale out of their meet because the wife has arranged something for them.

Other allegedly single men will also arrange meets and then bale out at the last minute, or not turn up at all. Not sure why they do it, perhaps a game of some sort.

Thanks guys, good to hear the experiences and thoughts. Also I'd very much hope it's not about us but you can't but think it is when it happens do much.

As someone else said, we come to expect it, so it's not a shock when it happens.

We've also put things in place now as well to help fish the wrong uns out, looks moving to what's app beforehand, don't want to do it, it's a good sign they aren't genuine. Also not releasing address until last minute.

We are a genuine, professional, lovely couple looking for that 3rd element with someone else that is the same. We've met some very very lovely couples on here, and they are now friends but that single male is very illusive!

I can honestly say, that after using Fab for over 10 years now, I have never failed to make any meet I’ve arranged.

Flakey single ladies, and flakey couples however, I’ve experienced a few in my time, and have been stood up, ghosted, and last minute cancelled on many times. I just accept it goes with the territory, and generally just block and move on (assuming the profile is still here)

It’s shoddy behaviour OP but don’t think it’s the prevail of just single guys. I think you have started to form your own conclusions already on what to do differently but you have to do your due diligence on here with people. Moving onto WhatsApp is a good move so you can see that actually have a mobile number. A phone call or FaceTime prior can help you establish if someone is reliable and genuine. More effort required but it will pay off.

One other thing that can be a good indicator is hidden veris...I presume anyone can leave a veri and if you don't turn up some people might leave you a bridge one.. Before blocking... We wouldn't do that as it's just not how we roll but we do get suspicious of hidden veris.

Nothing wrong with outlining the scenario, and it’s probably gonna be pretty obvious which guys are using it for wank material. They’ll push for more n more detail. Maybe ask for more pics, etc.

Trust your instinct, you’ll find it’s probably quite accurate when assessing who intends to turn up or not.

First of all - it’s shite that it’s happened to you.

Secondly - it’s not just a single guy thing, it’s a fab thing. I’ve arranged countless meets with single girls, couples and groups and been let down. With a million and one excuses and a number of disappearing profiles.

One thing that fab lacks is the opportunity to leave negative feedback - recently I had a meet arranged in Middlesbrough and the girl confirmed on the day, never showed, then blocked me. She’s still active and posts regularly. I get that folk have the right to change their mind but ffs - at least be civil about it.

Hope you have better luck in the future! And if I’m ever down your way with work then I’d defo be up for meeting.

im very blunt and to the point when messaging i do everything via fab no phones no emails no cams no apps just fab everything is aranged for that same week i never plan ahead thats where 90% of your wasters are ...

Single guys feel a lot of pressure to agree to every opportunity that is offered to them. They don't want to appear negative to anything for fear of missing out, or being rejected by the community in general. They will agree to anything.

BUT, that won't do it unless that want to. It isn't as easy as ordering up a deliveroo. It takes time to develope the rappour. The time taken is worth it.

I always speak with any potential guys before we meet with anyone off here, just so they understand our cuckold dynamic and they aren’t just after a quick fuck.

From experience I’d say around 90% of the guys I’ve chatted to admit to being married if pushed. Not a problem for us, two of our best bulls we’ve known over the years have been married.

But I’d say that if they have a wife in the background it makes meets very difficult for them and that’s why if you look at profiles in detail a lot of guys state daytime meets only.

But still shitty to do. I've chatted with loads of people, had the craic, bit of a turn on, but never agree to meet unless 100% sure I can guarantee I'll make it. It might cut your chances but it's not fair on the other people involved.

Not necessarily, there’s so few women go to clubs, and you can’t guarantee you’ll hit it off with any there on the night, assuming you’ll get a look-in with all the other blokes there. I’ll not visit another club as a single guy, without a pre-arranged meet inside

no one is 100% going to get fun at a club (especially men)(sorry but its the hard truth) it still works the same way as on here except your face to face ...there no such thing as a free fuck and attraction is still key .... i /we go to clubs we lately rarely play as the attraction is not there but its ok as its still nice to socialize with nice people the problem with some clubs is its the same couples every week the same men every week ( men that wank / watch ) thats why we go all over the uk for clubs....

It’s a two hour drive for me, to reach any club, and my experiences of being a solo guy in clubs, puts me off visiting any others. They really aren’t worth the effort or expense.

You can access Fab any time of day, wherever you are, and just use your common sense to filter out the flakes. The block button really is the best tool
