As a completely openminded bisexual hedonist I think we push boundaries because we can and want to.

Sex is multi-dimensional and one of the greatest pleasures in life. As we grow older there is no doubt that we become kinkier and want to explore.

What happens between consenting adults is, and should be, no issue.

If you're pushing boundaries they aren't real boundaries. You can be inquisitive and willing to try new things but still have real boundaries that will never be crossed. However it does sound good to say you've "pushed you boundaries" doesn't it.
