What did you wear?

I always wear jeans for socials, they should be very chilled for everyone in my opinion. Casual chat to see if we get on, plus there is a chance of being stood up, so personally, I don't make much effort bar the basics.

If a woman is more comfortable in jeans then let her be.

Did you turn up in a full gimp suit and feel a little over dressed?

How dare she not turn up in strappy lingerie, suspenders and heels, the very horror. Does she not know she should cater to your likes.

What did you expect her to wear, a ballgown? Maids outfit? I mean jeans are pretty standard attire.

It depends where the social is tbh, if it was a coffee then yeah I'd wear jeans, to the pub/bar I'd probably wear a dress.

OMG!!!! If anyone would happily meet me for a social wearing that, preferably somewhere classy rather than Greg's or wetherspoons.....then I'm buying!

I wear what I'm comfortable and confident in...that's often a dress because I like wearing them but has been jeans and boots before because I know I look fab in them...

It's a social so I don't see why a woman wearing jeans would be an issue ? I think I've worn jeans and a nice top to some before. I'm meeting just to see if we get on well or not in person. I'm not going to get dressed up in sexy lingerie etc for a social and if someone had an issue with that or expected more it wouldn't go beyond a social either.

What made you feel that was more appropriate? Did you go to smart venues where jeans were out of place?

Social is a social, easy access isn't required.

I always wear jeans to a social. A social is a casual thing, it's not a job interview that requires a skirt or dress

If you use reply+quote we know who you're talking to

Why do you need easy access for a social or had you agreed that your social was going to be followed by sex?

She wore whatever she was comfortable in, that's what matters. And a social isnt a guarantee you'll take things further, her clothes don't have to be easy access.

Define 'most' ?

I'll skip the 'easy access' comment for now, but I've never in 15 years on here known women to generally wear stockings and suspenders to a social meet where you'll just be chatting.

What difference does what someone wears make when you're just talking?

"Well jeans are not the most easy access are they."

If you require 'access' on a social you should tell her in advance so she can meet your demands.

Oh and knee high boots.

"It is the first time anyone wore Jeans."

It's rare that I wear jeans but if I wore a dress/skirt I'd be wearing leggings under it. I certainly wouldn't be expecting me to need easy access if it was just a social

"Well jeans are not the most easy access are they."

Which is exactly why I purposefully wear jeans for a social, it’s a social.

If you’re complaining about lack of ‘easy access’ you’re clearly wanting more than a social

Or have the opportunity to say no if she’s not wanting the same too

For me it's perfectly normal as I like to dress comfortably if someone I'm meeting has a problem with that then it's their problem

Such a disappointment!

I'd wear to a social whatever I liked and felt confident in. If that was jeans then I'd wear jeans.

If someone suggested to me or asked me to wear something for a social (especially someone I'd never met before) I'd probably strongly suggest that we're wholly incompatible

To be honest op if a woman turned up for a first social in a dress and stockings there wouldn't be a second meeting because I'd get the impression she was trying too hard and wasn't relaxed enough to be herself.

It was a social. There is no need for easy access and someone expecting it to mean that they can should get easy access is exactly one the reason I would wear jeans to a social. To me and most of the men I've met off here understand that before we met.
