Nymphomania could be due to drinking brandy, reading too many books, feeling desire for another woman, being inspected by a speculum, divorce and even frigidity.

I dont consider myself a nymphomaniac, but i do recognise I have a higher sex drive than most. An example would be... If im going somewhere new, or staying in a hotel... Within 5mins, I would have checked WHOS NEARBY in the hope to chat or play with locals. Lol... Maybe I am.

It was seen as a mental disorder for a woman but no so much for men.. in victorian times it was ok for them to have a "bit on the side"..
