It’s a real shame that so many couples restrict their age preferences to under 45…I’m 52 - gym fit and am physically the fittest I’ve been in my life. I’m experienced and have been swinging for over 20 years, but now I’m over 50, couples and ladies meets are very few and far between. I even notice it with couples and ladies who are themselves over 45. I’ve been told I can give any youngster a run for their money in the bedroom. Oh well…at least the club scene is a little less descriminatory!

Change your age on site to 44. See if there will be any difference.

Age is a tricky one and isn’t always about you. For instance, our eldest daughter is nearly 18 so we don’t want anyone too close to that age and my dad is quite young and we don’t want anyone around his age too.

Our age preferences are nothing to do with anyone being too old or too young it’s just what we’re comfortable with

I don't think it's always about how physically fit you are. Mrs E have been debating this recently as we restrict ours.

Mrs E isn't really unfortunately as of now not finding older guys that attractive, it's an ageing thing I guess in terms of face etc. Hard to pin down but it's not doing it for her.

Me on the other hand actually really does like some of the older women and don't mind that ageing piece in certain cases.

I get what you mean though. Tricky.

Why 55? There might be some gym fit 59 year olds!

It’s not discriminatory it’s just preferences for what ever reason people have. Fab is about fantasies and I guess most people women / couples tend to enjoy the younger man attention as it ticks a few boxes

As you said clubs are nonissue as it’s about physical looks there on the spot not filters

It's just preference, I mean I wouldn't say no to Jennifer Aniston but generally I don't want to meet anyone young enough to be my kid or old enough to be my parent.

I know the feeling but the opposite way. The number of gals/couples looking for someone aged 26 and over :D give it a couple of months and I'll be there, but yep, really annoying when you click and read the prof.

We just go to clubs now, a lot easier, but Kate is fit though, definitely easier for us.

It is a weird cutoff, given that both men and women can look VASTLY different for their age based on their lifestyle and other factors.

There are women and men in their 40-50s and over that can put their younger peers to shame when it comes to beauty and fitness.

Age really is a poor proxy for attractiveness.

I might sound harsh here but I like older men, but not older than my dad. If I’m meeting up with someone outside of the club scene I like to have a drink and a bit of a laugh and I just don’t feel like I’d be on a level playing field with someone too much older…to turn it on it’s head, I wouldn’t play with a guy under 25 because the maturity level and the life experiences don’t match up…doesn’t matter how good they are in the sack…it makes me feel old.

It’s nothing to do with how attractive I find men or women, my age criteria is much looser in club environments because I’m generally just looking to bang then and I’ve played with men over 45 then.
