Is it common for people to reschedule meets, or is that sign the person is time waster..?

It really all depends, sometimes people do just need to reschedule. I found most time wasters wont reschedule and just no show rather than changing

It could be either. Life and shit happens, but it might be a sign that you want to look closer at it.

I rescheduled my first ever meet.

If they've rescheduled I'd say it's a sign that they're unable to meet when they said they would and are letting you know. It's the opposite of a time waster in my opinion. The time to start worrying is if they reschedule a second time, that's when we assume they're having second thoughts and politely let them know that the moment has passed

True. There has to be a limit as can't hang on for one person when could be seeking meets with others

Why would you take yourself off the market when just one person has shown a fleeting interest? Would you take your car off autotrader just because someone phoned and said they were coming to look?

Have to agree there as long has they have given reasonable notice then no harm has been done. If it get to like the 5th or 6th time then maybe but after the first ask it would seem a little petty to me to just stop talking.

I think people forget that we have lives off here and life happens

I think if it's the first time they have its ok.

Obviously if it happens more than maybe a change of mind so find it hard to say which is a pain.

Tonypandy.

Life happens. I've had to reschedule a few meets. I've had other people need to reschedule.

I tend to find of its genuine, they are quick to come back with alternatives.

People lead busy lives. It’s common for something to come and stuff up plans. If it happens several times though, I’d question whether the person really wants to meet.

this absolutely this. if they ghost you know they are not going to meet.

you may even find they post a new verification days later and made an excuse for you. if so block immediately.

Seems to be a trend on here to say they need to cancel and rearrange

but don't bother trying to rearrange.

Why can't they just be honest and say they've changed their minds.

If we can't make a meet for whatever reason we'd try and suggest alternative dates, because, as has been said, life does happen. But if someone cancels on us and doesn't suggest an alternative date then we take that to mean that they were never intending to meet.

I think we agree with majority here...sometimes life just happens and can't be helped. We have had to reschedule a couple due to childcare let down or work commitments. If they don't ever message you back then they are timewasters
