Blocking - who really cares?

Another one of my avoiding work discussions.

People seem to get genuinely upset when they're "blocked". In fact sometimes people will get so upset they will make all sorts of claims about the blocker being a "time waster" or in one rather strange claim "a bully"!?

I don't get this in the slightest. Who cares? If they block you it might be for loads of different reasons

1) They aren't interested

2) They don't want to chat to anyone

3) They are only looking (they're a stalker)

4) They think you're a stalker

5) The thought of you makes them gag

6) You're so beautiful that the only way they can control their urges is to avoid seeing anything to do with you (this is why I get blocked mostly)

7) They aren't interested (did I mention that one?)

At the end of the day it's not like they've turned their back on you mid conversation in the pub after you've known them for years.

Not surprised to be honest, I've seen your profile, and I don't know if you've noticed, but you've got a massive blackhead that needs squeezing

Yes you did mention not interested, so maybe define it more like I don't fancy you and those that get turned down because they don't match the criteria so I have been blocked by someone, though I always thought it was the other way round, that way however, it does mean that me or him don't show up in searches

All it takes is a simple no thank you it's more polite and will usually stop that person from messaging you

The thing is, why is blocking impolite? If they block you or say no thanks the message is essentially the same afterall

But it doesn't stop them as a week or two later you often get a message off the same person so it's easier to block.

My block list is so big Graham said one of these days there'll be 11, 000 people online and I won't be able to see any of them! Lol

Scotland - Aberdeen

The only people on my block list are the one's that have become abusive towards me, most are people I've never spoke to before, but found it offensive that I have stated I am fussy and won't lower my standards, then there are the odd one or two stalkers

Mostly, I'm big enough and ugly enough to just ignore the idiots

You missed:

8. To prevent having to see your pictures on the home page

9. To prevent having to read your tedious status updates on the homepage

I couldn't care a fuck who blocks me. Yes I'm pissed! I think anyone who doesn't reply to a message is rude. Just a "no thanks" would do!

If you sent us a message and you were not what what we are looking for then chances are we wouldn't reply " no thanks" we would just block to save anymore messages we didn't want...

We used to reply no thanks and we said earlier in thread that we used to get abusive messages, we've had you should be grateful no one else would fuck your fat wife or why? The list goes on and we don't have time for all that and we are not on here to get abuse of guys that we are never going to meet x

Not anymore, I couldn't give a toss. I never do anything to warrant being blocked so its their problem not mine
