It's unfair to label men in general. Yes men have been to blame for the Subjugation of womens sexuality but some women in histoy have been part of this also as a means of power. The truth s that the people who are in control have always been at fault fo creating any control over any aspect of society and that of its people no matter of sexuality, gender or race.

I agree with a few comments by people say if it was a man doing this or if it was just women with women, then no one would be called a slut.

It sounds like you have a very similar relationship dynamic to us. I've always had to compromise who I am in the past, for the sake of a man's insecurities or fragile ego. But now I'm with a man who wholeheartedly embraces who I am and loves me for it. I've really grown into myself in the 20 odd years that we've been together, I can be completely unashamedly myself, and not only does he get to enjoy the very best version of who I am, but he has my total love and devotion for having the courage to break free of societal norms. So you're assuming that a woman who calls herself a slut would automatically be someone you can't trust in a relationship...? Whether people are on this site is irrelevant, my point is still valid. I wholeheartedly concur, people can refer to themselves however they like, it's down to the individual.

To clarify, I wasn't for one moment suggesting that all women who enjoy a liberated sex life are sluts - it's a term I adopt myself in an empowering way, breaking free of the shame and judgment I've felt in the past as a result.

People can identify as whatever they like as far as I'm concerned, I don't see it as my place to determine how others should live or behave.
